After almost two months of vacation, I'm back. Even though I was away I still kept working on personal and even some professional projects and blogging when I had free time.

Today I'm going to show you how to make a nice looking wallpaper in Photoshop. It includes how to make very nice looking leaves, waterdrops and subtle background effects. Enjoy! Step 1: The Beginning First open a new document of your screen size, I used my own resolution, which is 1440x900 pixels. When you've did that, choose 2 nice blue colours, the I used #0090ff as foreground and #003ebd as background colour.

Everyone loves lifting their desktop with some beautiful wallpapers. There are great wallpaper websites out there, from DeviantArt to Social Wallpapering, each with tons of free wallpapers for you.

If I were told to make a list of web design trends I love, there would be really few itens. Wood, glowing stuff and other things... and most definately, photographic backgrounds! I even had a personal project back a few years agora, but it never went online. Here are a few websites that we get to see this awesome trend... most of them are flash sites, because when you have a photo background, it's important that it will respond to your resolution... otherwise, if you have a 1280x1024 back photo, it will lose a lot of information in 1024x768.

One of the greatest things about the internet is that you always manage to find great sources of textures, templates, inspiration and everything that might help you come up with some good design.
