Following our series of web design posts, I was thinking about a nice web element that many sites have and that we've featured a lot here at Abduzeedo: illustration! We've seen a lot of it here, interviewed the artists, but never really talked about it inside web design.
This is not new, I have already shown this effect a few times but as last week I created a wallpaper for CSNGLOBAL, using an image of a guy painting their logo and I have received some emails asking me to write a tutorial, I decided to do that. A strong trend for movie posters we've seen in the last months is hand drawn posters. Mostly used for indie movies, it's a really fresh kind of design, and I'm really loving it. Some of the greatest movies I've seen in the past 6 months had hand drawn posters and were indie... so I'll guess the I'm probably a sucker for that kinda movie anyways.
Dvein is a motion and interactive studio based in Barcelona. They make some awesome stuff, and you can see that in their portfolio. Some of their work I can't even tell whether it's real or not. Seriously. Besides that, their portfolio is one of the most stunning portfolios I've ever seen.

I'm far from a professional photographer, I'm more of an enthusiast and I love to play around with my Canon G9. It's not an SLR camera but it works really fine for my skills and, also, it does RAW; everything I need for my addiction to HDR. I still have a lot to learn but I thought it would be nice to share some of my experiments.
