We can use them in many ways, but the most common is for backgrounds, however in my case I was looking for good textures for some Photoshop Displace Filter experiments. In this post I will list some nice wooden textures I came across on flickr and other sites.
We love the 80's. Music, tv shows, movies, clothing, everything gets us all nostalgic. But we can revive the 80's everyday by using it as reference. The 80's were a decade of overflows of colors and style. Citric colors, big glasses and those long Nike shoes.

There are iStockphoto, Getty Image, Corbis, Fotolia, etc... Great pictures, but you have to pay to use them, even if it's only to practise Photoshop. You also have Google images, but the pictures are not always aesthetic, and above all most of them have a copyright. Today we'll present to you two very good free stock photo sites.
Justice, a French duo, makes awesome music for sure. If you are a sucker for electro house, you'll love this. If you are a sucker for electro house, AND a design junkie, then this will blow your mind. It's been a long time since I saw a new design for video clips.

The best thing about this requests is that I can learn new techniques and explore Photoshop in a new way. This new tutorial I’m writing is an example.

music · logos · inspiration · bands
There are some great bands out there... from rock to hip-hop, from ska to punk rock. Not all of them have cool logos, but some are memorable. "Whether it's gracing overpriced T-shirts or iconic drumheads, being furtively carved into classroom desktops or intricately inked on the bodies of the most dedicated fans, a band's logo can be just as memorable as its biggest single."
Design Annuals are an awesome source of inspiration and there are decades of annuals to use on your research. Looking for something done on the last 5 years? You'll find some cool stuff. Looking for a more vintage style? Try looking a little back on time, on some 50's Annuals, like this '57/58 one. Pretty neat!
I remember when I was a little boy that I would make some collages to use as book cover. And I used to make some pretty cool stuff, but this dude makes some awesome stuff. His name is Greg Gossel, and was born in Wisconsin in 1982. I've been looking at some cool collages recently, but this dude's work is impressive.
