How did objects come to enter the human collective? Inspired by the research work of Bruno Latour, these graphics were created with the idea to speak about the marketing hidden behind objects the main goal of the serie and the forward on is social life. And having some distance about it, there is some construction of a potential user in products.
I've already published some architecture posts with amazing photos, and if you realize, a lot of them are from the same phtographer, he's the portuguese Nelson Garrido. His technique and style for photos like those are simply awesome. The lights and colors bring even more value to each project. And as this is not enough, he also has some experiments and food pictures that are also beautiful!
Because of that I made a collection with some of his photos, definitely you should check how great photos turn good projects into awesome ones!
I mentioned before that one of my goals for 2010 is to practice and learn more about 3D, especially Cinema 4D and the new 3D features in Photoshop CS4 and the new CS5 that is right around the corner. Then last week, when I was preparing the Daily Inspiration, I discovered the work of Jeff Osborne, a digital artist from London who creates some amazing 3D typography works.
Big shout out to Trey Ratcliff for clearing things up for me with HDR’s--he has a great tutorial and I will always be a fan of his amazing work--to Nicalai, for taking this wonderful picture and, last but not least, to Abduzeedo for making this public.
We start from this original picture, that my good friend Nicalai took on a night in Milano. First, we want to add some cool night tint to this. So, we lower the Temperature a bit, let’s say -32 and play with the other sliders as you see fit.

Many people have been asking me how to create a nice, Apple-style UI in Pixelmator with bevels and letterpress effects. I have also received some inquiries about creating rounded corners. So, I created this tutorial to explain some efficient, helpful tips.
Step 1
Open Pixelmator and create a new document. I used 1000×1000 pixels. Then, fill the background with grey. On the menu, select File>Stylize>Noise. Select 1 as the amount.
The wallpaper of this week is the new symbol design I created for Abduzeedo that will be used for icons and other materials. I also published a tutorial showing how to create this effect, you can check it out here.
