I really like new design.. Perfect colours.. Pretty font effects .. Abduzeedo is better and better :) GREAT JOB !

Previous design looked like we're out in space, freely floating around. New design feels like we're inside a space station, closed, no windows.

Suggestion: Add a space img bg in the balck stripe under the logo so we have a window :)

There are a lot of things I like in the new design, the "plain" background, the higlighting colors and the CSS3 effects all do a lot of good.

I also love the way the images (and the image captions) are very visible to the users, both in single column view or in thumbnail view.

Also the single-post view is spectacular, very clear to read and I never thought that adding a text shadow on regular text could cause that much difference! AMAZING!

What I'm not positive about is the top navigation... Honestly, it wasn't clear to me if there background images that weren't loaded in yet or even that the dropdown are only visible after click and now on hover... Actually I'm not hot about the navigation at all and I feel it needs to be rethought VERY quickly....

I visit this site every day, the facelift looks good, I would probably have not chosen font with no fill, to be honest I want to enjoy the style of it, but it's simply too hard to read except as a large title.

I like the change overall, good stuff; it'll take me a while to get used to it though. I only think the background color should be a slightly darker shade of gray (not as smooth a read as the old site)...but a good change nonetheless!

I love you guys, but I have to say, this new design… I hate it, sorry!
First I thought my browser was bugged or something, everything seems off placed and changing out the black BG for this lighter grey one, it's just awfull!
Using grey is awsome, like Collis often does, with his #111111 grey… But this combination, just awfull!
Except that, like the blue and pinky colours!

I'm warming to it. it feels cleaner but I think that black bar needs some subtle shading or something to pull it together more.

Change is good but I'm not sure about this one. Two things get me every time I visit. One, how the headline text "cuts" or overlaps the preview image. When I first saw it, I thought the page wasn't loading properly. Two, the overall look, to me, seems very template-ish. I'm all for simple & minimalist. But perhaps this is a little too far. You guys still post great content. Just not a fan of the new wrapper.

Looks good! Took some getting used to but i like it! Particularly the style of the headlines slightly embedded into the images is a really nice touch and an advancement in internet styling.

I like the design and on my widescreen monitor it looks really sleek and stylish.

As I first saw the new design I really didn't like it. Now I like it more every time I look at it, but I'm still not sure if I like it more then the previous version. It seams like something is missing. I can't necessarily put a finger on it.
Maybe an image or texture for the background as others mentioned before. I think a little grain in the background could have worked wonders.

Anyway it's important too move on and that's what you did, so congratulations!

urrgg! another polished mac minimalist website. too generic and bland. what happened to individuality and uniqueness?

Great looking redesign, though I think I liked the header on the old design better. I feel like there is something that still needs to be added in at the top.

Other than that, I love the highlight colors, those look great, and everything else is pretty much awesome as well. Good work!

Its very nice but its a shame, the overall theme has now been lost. Only the tiny bottom footer with its stars remains. Good re-design guys but i'm concerned you have become too generic...

First, I have to say this is the first site I check every morning and I LOVE the content, However this update, visually seems llike a step backwards to me. It seems awkward now, the post titles overlapping the pictures is quite distracting, and looks like a mistake. The new navigation is very confusing to me also. This update looks incomplete, you have added some nice new features, but overall I find the site confusing now,

Too noisy, pretentious. Unsure himself to prove otherwise.
Like to see much more sober, refined site from you.

Ola Fábio! Muito bom o post, e adorei a nova versão do abduzeedo. Ficou 99% Melhor! Sabe por que 99%? Por que eu não gostei da fonte, não se se é no meu computador, mais aki em casa fica quase ilegível os comentários e artigos.

A resolução que uso é 1440x900, voce acha que pode ser aqui em casa? Eu aumentei a fonte no navegador, mas acho que ficou grande d+ o site, as imagens tambem.

May I amend my previous opinion?

It was based on a quick skim of this and the homepage. I spent some time reading a few articles and my opinion has changed somewhat...it's a good design and layout but for some reason it's claustrophobic. I feel cramped-in/closed-in. Don't know whether it's amplified by the shade of gray but as I spent time reading articles on the site I started getting a headache (I'm not exaggerating). I know there's a lot of negative space at play here, but the previous design was a lot more open and easier to read (and definitely NOT headache-inducing).

Sorry...I love abduzeedo.

Don't love the fact everything's so big and the header may be too simple.

Too be honest, I don't like the brightness of the grey on the background, it should be a bit darker. I like the new effects and the divider lines though. But on the other hand, the thumbnails look a bit like they have been copy, cut and pasted, instead of really worked out. Probably because the titles comes in where a bit of the thumb was. and furthermore the header > thw 2 different colours look quite off, it's like it isn't ''margined'' or ''paddinged'' right, if you know what I mean.
The other colours are fantastic ^_^

Hi, I liked your site a lot and the changes you have done are very fresh and new. I specially liked the font and colors you have for the site's name. Plus I'd like to suggest that what if you use some more colors in the rest of the page of your site or some animated graphics, I think it would look better.

Overall, the redesign was successfull, I like the new look. The only part that I hate is that annoying meebo bar, I would never use it on my own sites.

Hi Fabio! Maybe just my problem but with this new design, Abduzeedo is veeeeery slow on my computer. It's the first time I've got "flickering" when scrolling up/down. Not just inside post but homepage too. Same thing in Firefox 3.5 and Explorer 8.

I haven't got a "kick ass computer" but a Dual Core with 2Gbytes should be enough to run very fast a website.

Muito legal o meebo, o menu do topo reduzido.. mas o topo parece que está faltando algo.. na primeira vez que entrei achei que a página não tinha terminado de carregar... gostava muito daquela imagem.. era um layout bastante original.. que diferenciava o site dos outros sobre design.. bom, então talvez seja questão de tempo para me acostumar..

Love the new simplified look!

I would definitely prefer the headlines of the articles to be aligned left to the edge of the column instead of floating over the image. I think it looks good, but takes away from the readability of the page. It makes scanning hard and takes longer to find what you were looking for, sometimes the pictures don't always explain clearly what the article is about so it makes it more complicated.

The one thing I do love is the little "bump" you gave to all the links when clicked. Simple and effective. Love the attention to detail.
