Fri, 10/18/2013 - 00:47
This week we will show you a beautiful restoration in Girona, Spain, a project by Anna Noguera. This place is amazing! The mix of old and new, the stone walls, concrete, wood... everything is really beautiful and charming. Certainly a great place to live.
Description from the architects: Located in the central part of Girona’s medieval quarter, within the perimeter of the first wall and overlooking the Plaça Sant Doménec, is the property Alemanys 5, whose original building dates back to the XVI century. Its recent restoration integrates old and new, where sober and clean lines look for the enjoyment of essential elements such as space, light, shadows, fire, stone, water or silence.
Make sure to check out Anna Noguera website for further inspiring projects. See you next week :)
The building is configured from two family apartments of different sizes and features: “El Badiu” (the gallery), is a duplex of 180 m2 on the upper floors, with a master suite and two rooms for kids, a large living room with fireplace and a spectacular terrace facing south, with exclusive views over the old medieval city.
“El Jardí” (the garden) is an apartment of 100 m2, with two double bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, a large living room with an integrated kitchen, and a pleasant private garden with sun terrace and pool. The building can also be rented as a complete unit, with 5 rooms for 10-12 people.
