I know we had just recently released a new design a few months ago, but the blog has since grown much more than we had expected. Now we have more contributors (which is fantastic!), more posts each day, and much more content in the whole site. And that’s why we had to update the site.
The wallpaper of this week is from Jonathan Wong, a graphic designer and illustrator from Ireland. He's also member of the depthCore collective. This image was created in collaboration with Pete Harrison (http://www.aeiko.net)
for Depthcore (http://depthcore.com).
Today I was really busy down here working on some of the new features to the site, but there are a lot of things happening, starting from the new 3G iPhone, and this time it’s coming to Brazil too, when?
Justin Maller has just released his new portfolio at superlover.com.au/ with some very really cool designs.
Abduzeedo means abducted in portuguese, the spelling is not exactly that, it should be abduzido. But the whole idea for the Abduzeedo's design is the space. I'm really fan of playing with this subject because we are sort of free to create whatever we want, and using Photoshop that really means everything.
So in this Photoshop tutorial I will show you how to create a space scene with some nice Lighting Effects in 10 Steps.
This week we have for the wallpaper of the week an awesome illustration from Gustav Balderdash, an Illustrator, Animator, and Graphic Designer, based in Southampton, England. We hope you enjoy it and we invite you all to send us images and suggestions for wallpapers.

May is gone and we are in the middle of the year already. We’re very happy on how the blog is doing and we are working on some really nice features for the next months. Meanwhile, we have some announcements.
After 3 weeks for submissions to the Abduzeedo Icon Contest, now it’s time to vote. Below there are 30 icons from the Flickr Pool, to vote is very simple, just leave a comment with the number of the icon you like the most. Also we will giveaway 2 slots on the abduzeedo favicon wall.
The web design process is very time consuming, besides that, sometimes we want to focus more on some graphic details and we sort of forget about the CSS/HTML production and how important it is for a good website.
The wallpaper of this week is an image I created for the Abduzeedo Icon Contest. It was my first experiment using Poser 7, a really nice software to design human forms in 3D. I highly recommend a visit to their site and download the demo, I'm sure it will be very useful for you.
