It's time for part two! Thanks for all your suggestions! A lot of the images I'm going to show you today came from sleevage, a site I came across dedicated to music, art, and design. Definitely worth checking out!
Following my articles on posters, I received a suggestion from @MateToth90 to try a post with indie CD covers.
I thought it was a really good idea so I went on the lookout for some cool album artwork to share with you guys today. I found so many that I decided to break it up into two articles to avoid major computer crashing around the world. Stay tuned for part two ;)
I realize that just last week I posted about gig posters, but this week I wanted to extend the article to all types of posters as well. I guess it's safe to say that I have a thing for good poster design ;)
I really love vintage styled images and I love it when people do unconventional things with it, like cut out animal heads and put it on human bodies and just experiment with cut outs in general.
Today I bring you some cool vintage collages that I came across while surfing behance. Enjoy!
I've always loved threadless shirts and last night while going through the website, I was reminded of just how much I loved them.
These past few weeks I've been on the lookout for some nice portfolios to inspire me to make my own.
Last year for my birthday, a friend of mine got me "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends" by Coldplay. For the past year, this album has been playing non-stop in my car on every morning drive to school and then every drive back home. Track 9, Strawberry Swing, went on repeat at least 3 times. Now finally, a year later, on July 20th they make a video for this wonderful song!
What's design without music? What's music without design? I wanted to add on to Paulo's post, 30 Totally Cool Band Posters, because I, too, have always had a thing for indie gig posters, and coincidentally enough, I also stumbled upon the same website, gigposters.com
Last week we posted about the really awesome skateboard graphics book and thanks to Mark Batty Publisher we received a copy to giveaway to one loyal abductee.
I've been a big fan of Chris's work for a while now ever since the beginning of his election doodles. He became enraged by McCain and Palin's antics and satirized it in his work. His taste for lettering and typefaces never ceases to amaze me and I always look forward to his next creations.
