Branch Creative is an executive production and advertising house that represents a pool of photographers, illustrators and commercial directors from around the world. We created a sophisticated identity system with a playful typography treatment. The visual identity was created by Noeeko and what makes is so cool, is the simplicity and in my opinion the beautiful yellow color.
I'm a Brazilian product designer based in Oakland, California currently working for Google as a Staff Designer. I am also the founder of Abduzeedo, an award-winning digital publication about design and a personal project that has become the source of inspiration for millions of designers and enthusiasts.
Designing visual identities and logos is one of the most complicated tasks for any designer. All the work necessary is usually to come up with something very simple and easy to understand. The main goal is to simplify the form and reduce to the most iconic elements. Avril Complementos is a great example. By mixing an icon of a rose with the letter A they achieve a stunning result as you can see below.
Avril Complementos was designed by Jesso García, a designer and illustrator from Cordoba, Spain. For more information visit
Creating an efficient visual identity is always a challenge as there are quite a few things to consider in terms of applications, from collateral to digital placements. The talented Rene Bieder shared a visually stunning project for a magazine on his Behance profile. The project titled Visual Identity Concept/Strassenfenger is one of the best examples of simple and beautiful editorial design in my personal opinion.
The Strassenfeger is a Berlin-based Magazine sold by homeless people. I thought it would be fun to create an identity for them. So did they.
