We try to post about design in general, but usually we focus on digital design and illustration because those are the two areas we work with most of the time, that doesn't mean we don't like other areas. To be honest our formation is in Industrial Design, Architecture and Advertising here over at Abduzeedo. Car design is a passion that we believe everybody, especial guys might love.

Boys when kids always play with litte cars, the passion for these vehichles grow with us and seeing the process behind the design of a car is always inspiring. The Xtreme Kinematix is a beautiful example of that, and a reason to get featured here on Abduzeedo.

The Xtreme Kinematix concept is a new generation electric roadster, aimed at pushing both performance and power efficiency to a new level. This concept tries to revive the glorious design lines of the brand, combining fresh solutions, a unique, new aerodynamics, tailored around the electrical elements of the power system as well as cutting-edge energy feedback.

We had to take our project down due to Jaguar's request of using their brand as a design case study, although this project was strictly a non commercial case study and for fun. Given a much smaller and cooler power plant than conventional, the aerodynamics was conceived in a new innovative way. The side deflector intakes of the front were made broader, so a much larger amount of air does not get stuck by the engine, instead, it flows behind the front wheels, getting out behind them and sliding along the doors and then taking another shortcut through the rear wheels and out from the big rear openings, greatly reducing the total flowing path and subsequently drag.
