Stunning 3D Work and Cinema 4D Tutorial by Cornelius Dämmrich

Stunning 3D Work and Cinema 4D Tutorial by Cornelius Dämmrich

I love everything 3D. Back in the early 2000s I spent a fair amount of time trying to learn 3ds Max, then Cinema 4d. It was a good time but I couldn't stand the rendering times, especially to find out that my composition was bad in all senses, modeling, lighting, texture. That is not the case of the stunning work created by Cornelius Dämmrich titled 6088AD. What can I say about it, it's just perfect. Amazing mood, style and illumination. The best part though, is that Cornelius was very kind to us and wrote tutorials on how to create scenes like that. There's so much information that I will probably try to get back to Cinema 4d. Some technical information: Built in Cinema 4D R18, Octane, Fusion 360, Marvelous Designer, Substance Designer and DAZ3D. The tutorial includes over 8 hours of timelapses, 1,5 hours video commentary, 3 step by step tutorials, a Soundtrack and a 3D Scene with all the assets and textures. 6088AD Cinema 4d Process 3D Stills 3D Stills of Details BUY IT HERE: https://gum.co/HRJED Also check out: Web: zomax.net Instagram: instagram.com/corneliusdammrich Artstation: artstation.com/zomtech Facebook: facebook.com/theartofcorneliusdaemmrich

Industrial Design for Clippad Universal Gamepad

Industrial Design for Clippad Universal Gamepad

We have to say that Nintendo is always trying to innovate or at least be different. They saw the shift of how people play games, more and more on mobile devices, and created the Nintendo Switch. The biggest question for me is, will that be enough to stop the smartphone game revolution? One of the biggest issues with mobile games is the controllers. Touch screen is not as accurate or intuitive as physical controllers. For multiple button games it gets tricky because you never know exactly where your fingers are, causing the user to miss firing the right button. The solution could be games will evolve to touch screen controllers, requiring less buttons or the industry will create peripherals allowing mobile phones to have physical buttons. Clippad is an industrial design project that takes the second approach. It is a bluetooth controller that you connect to your smartphone and it gives you a directional and 4 buttons. It was created and shared by Giacomo Zangani on his Behance profile. Clippad is a bluetooth universal gamepad composed by two splittable controllers for clip every smartphone Giacomo Zangani is an industrial design student from Florence, Italy. Digital Art and Distorted Perspectives by Aeforia

Digital Art and Distorted Perspectives by Aeforia

It's amazing how some styles and trends come and go. I remember in the 80s and early 90s when digital arts and CGI were at their infancy and one of the common themes were these surrealistic environments with 3D representations of people, most of the time with metallic or chrome look. It was all about that and then it evolved to something less futuristic, more graphical and dirtier. Probably heavily inspired by the movie titles of S7VEN, if you can remember that. Anyways, I have seen more and more people playing with 3D tools and creating images that bring back that nostalgia feeling I mentioned before. Aeforia, a digital artist I feature on this post illustrates that quite well with the digital art work below.  By focusing on different perceptions of the world that we live in... Aeforia is a digital artist, graphic designer and photographer based in Montreal, Canada. His work is inspired by nature surrounding him, space, geometry and distorted perspectives. "By focusing on different perceptions of the world that we live in, I hope that the viewer can be pulled in the surreal sceneries I create." - he mentions on his Behace page.  For more information make sure to check out http://www.aeforiadesign.com/ Digital art

Motion Graphic Design ‘The Enlightenment of Cosmic Panda’

Motion Graphic Design ‘The Enlightenment of Cosmic Panda’

Nexus Studios' creator Jaime Álvarez Sobreviela, in partnership with film and design studio Le Cube and composer David Kamp, have created a 50’ animated film, ‘The Enlightenment of Cosmic Panda’ . The film tells the story of the Mr. Kat & Friends ‘Cosmic Panda’ character as his true nature is revealed. The style mixes 3D with motion graphic design and it's super fluid especially the scene transitions where it goes from 3D to regular illustration style. Check out below and also more details and stills of this project. 3D and Motion Graphic Design Speaking of how the animation project came about Jaime says: “Le Cube and I met in Cutout Fest Mexico where we were invited to speak. Turns out we got along very well, they liked the Mr. Kat & Friends brand and the latest Mr. Kat collaboration was born." It was clear to me that we should show Cosmic Panda having a lysergic experience. The vibe of the character was asking for that. With Claudio Iriarte, who was the project animation director, we came up with the D.M.T experience. Jaime liked the idea as well, so we moved on under this concept. - Ralph Karam (Le Cube) Cosmic Panda has recurrent themes such as space, mysticism, meditation, nature and overcoming. Depending on which state he’s in, he’ll acquire different levels of wisdom. For example when he’s golden or transparent, he's in his highest levels of consciousness. When not in a supernatural condition, Cosmic Panda is a wild and carefree panda. - Jaime (Mr. Kat & Friends) “We’re always looking for opportunities to mix techniques in our work. The mixing between the environments here of the exterior (Cosmic Panda’s real universe) and the interior (his mind) was a perfect excuse to play with our favourite techniques 2D cell animation and 3D” - Juan Manuel Friere (Le Cube) notes I liked the idea of keeping the "real universe" of the character into this technic. For the trip, I called another colleague and brilliant animator Dante Zaballa to help us with one of his specialties: handmade painting in cell animation. - Ralph Karam The film was premiered at the amazing OFFF Festival in Barcelona where Jaime was invited to speak. Ralph, Gustavo and Juanma joined him on stage to present the brand new animation! 👊   CREDITS: Production and Animation: Le Cube Starring an original character created by: Mr. Kat & Friends, represented by Nexus Studios Direction: Ralph Karam and Jaime Álvarez Sobreviela (Mr Kat & Friends) Executive Production: Gustavo Karam and Juan Manuel Freire Production: Antonela Castro Animation Direction: Claudio Iriarte 3D Backgrounds: Jaime Álvarez Sobreviela (Mr. Kat & Friends) Illustrations: Martin Vinograd 2D Animation: Dante Zaballa, Sergio Kechu, and Martin Lara 2D Animation Assistants: Matheus Muñiz and Katherine Pryor 3D Animation: Chris Rey Willis Composition: Ralph Karam Music and Sound Design: David Kamp For more information make sure to check out the original Behance project

Eerie 3D Rendering Work by Stuart Lippincott

Stuart Lippincott has been posting some incredible 3D rendering on his Behance profile. They are part of his everyday challenge and as the name suggest, he has been creating one illustration every day. I particular love the style and I can see that it's becoming more and more a trend. It reminds me of the 80s, very abstract and sometimes stark, but with this futurist vibe. Anyway check out below some beautiful 3D rendering work.
