Inspiration: Ariel-G

September 15, 2008 from aloa's blog

When i started photoshop I got interested in a lot of abstract stuff. I downloaded every brush I think it was worth it (which was nearly every second) and painted black pictures with a blue fractal brush and thought I was a hero. I miss this feeling and I also miss good abstract pictures. Here is one artist I really like and follow his stuff for years now. And I have to say. He keeps getting better and better.

Reader Tutorial: Arcadia 80's VHS Style
Last week we posted a really cool article called Back to the 80's with some beautiful illustrations inspired by the 80's. We love the 80's especially that look and feel of the old VHS movies that we used to watch so many times. Because of that we have a super cool Photoshop tutorial showing you how to create a VHS image style. Step 1 Open up Photoshop and create a new Document at your desired size in RGB-Color. Fill the Background of the image with a very dark grey (#141414 in my example).

Wallpaper of the Week 196 by Timothée Mathelin
The wallpaper of this week is an image created by Timothée Mathelin. A graphic designer from France. His influences are from everywhere, from skies to David Lynch and The Designers Republic to Baroque. My main influences come from everyday’s life. Just a bird on a wire or a falling leaf from a tree... Every living motion gives me an inspiration of what is life and the wish to illustrate it. Lately, I’ve been really inspired by futuristic times and the imagination of new civilizations. For more information visit http://www.futurorg.com
