Since Web 2.0 exploded back in 2005 many interesting communities started appearing on the web. Today websites are all about interaction. Sites like Digg, Flickr, StumbleUpon and many more really blew up over the past couple of years. Here are five amazing communities for designers you might have yet to discover continued with other worthy links.


1. Design You Trust™ - designyoutrust.com

DYT is a popular daily design blog and community where people can read about the latest design trends, discover interesting portfolios and get updates on related news and events. Members can post their own favorite design news, photos and join the discussions if they'd like.

iliketotallyloveit is a "Digg-like" website for those people out there who really like product design. People can share all kinds of weird/beautyfull/cool products each with a link to the online shop where it can be purchased. Currently the site has more than thousand products for you to see.

3. Typophile - typophile.com

Typophile is a website dedicated to typography. With regular "battles" (which are short competitions), a user generated "Typowiki" and popular forums, the website has become an interesting community. The best thing about this site is the Type ID Board; a special place where experts will help you finding that font you couldn't guess.

AotW is a huge online library showcasing the best in commercial advertising. Browse through thousands of radio & TV commercials or print work from worldwide and discover the world of advertising. Registered members can add content, give feedback, join the forums and keep track of their favorite ads.

5. Drawar - drawar.com

Drawar is a pretty new place where you can discover creative websites. The site is devided in three categories; Design, Art and Photography. In contrary to other websites, Drawar gives you design related content in little snippets. The site has also a gallery showcasing some of the best designs on the web.
