2 x iStopMotion 2 Express (for MAC) Giveaway
Abduzeedo.com is doing great at the time. We get more good posts and users daily. Thats why we sometimes have to give something back to our users. This time we give away 2 full version of iStopMotion 2 Express each worth 100 $.
Just in case you don't know what i'm talking about:
"Stop-Motion is a film-technique that makes a physically manipulatted object appear to move on its own. The object is moved by extremely smallamounts while every frame is being photographed."
I am working with iStopMotion for quite a long time and i think it's one of the best programs ever made for doing StopMotion art, especially the second version. I don't know how I got interested in this style of filming but it's very simple actually. I want to show you 2 movies i did with this programm:
Adventures of Santa Claus (StopMotion) from Alexis Papageorgiou on Vimeo.
Paperboy from Alexis Papageorgiou on Vimeo.
Remember how you watched, fascinated, when King Kong climb the Empire State building? When Luke Skywalker rode the ice beasts? When Wallace and Gromit hunted down the Were-Rabbit? For centuries now, stop motion animation has made the fantasies of film makers come true.
Now it's time to tell your story, frame by frame

iStopMotion 2 Express offers you most of the same professional animation tools that allow the pros to make the most amazing music videos, ads, TV shows and even feature films at a reasonable price. Create animations with resolutions of up to PAL/NTSC.
The great thing about this programm is that its very easy to use and has a lot of features like the chroma key where you can blend out the background just with one click.
HOW CAN YOU GET ONE OF THE PROGRAMS ?
Just leave a comment in this article what you would like to see on Abduzeedo.com in the future. Be creative, the winner will be announced next week in the comments.

thanks for all comments, both good and bad. We'll try to do things better now, also thanks for everyone taking part at this giveaway

Here's a suggestion: hits/tips/explanation/discussion of type/font.
I'm Italian, i really love abduzedo!
This is a good moment to start a stopmotion's category I think!
By all!
GDM - Cors4ro
Alassio - Italy
I think it would be cool to have a "work of the month" bit where you display work you have have made. just once, every month.
Well..Nice site you've got here!
It would be great if you added some atricles on how to create unqiue designs and some stuff on workflows and techniques.
Although this sounds very similar to several other posts, I'm going to go with it anyways. I've recently found this site about 2 months ago and since then have come to it everyday to see what tutorials and websites are being showcased. I love graphic design, both for print/web and for tv/film. I find a lot of the work on these pages inspiring to my designs in some way/shape/form.
That being said, I know that I use a lot of photoshop and After Effects in the motion graphics that I do. Not too long ago I created an animated light beam from the "Enhance Your Photos" tutorial from July 14th. As much as I would like to say I want to see some motion graphic tutorials on your site, I think that its more creative and challenging to me to take what I find on here and twist it into something unique.
So I guess it all boils down to nothing. Everything you post has been helpful to me, and nothing comes to mind that I could ask for that you aren't already giving us. Thank you for your inspiring works and showcases of others.
Great site, I am always interested more in Illustrator tips as well as photoshop.
I love the fireworks tuts and usually do them. I'm completely new to this so they really help me a lot.
Your site has been doing real great since the day it started. Visiting your site has become so much a part of my routine now, that I visit it automatically every morning, and even every now and then in the noon, wondering if it has been updated yet.
Love all your "inspiration" posts. Keep up the good work.
Hi there.. I would surely love to see some tutorials on how to correctly colorize vector graphics so they get a realistic feel to them (GoMedia style) - turning that dark silhouette into something beautiful. Vector shapes are far underestimated and is a very powerful tool in almost every design. Also I would like to see some tutorials on how you (at Abduzeedo) develop your creative ideas - I would like to see tutorials on the process of developing ideas and converting them into a product. Thanks for a great inspirational site! S. Madsen
would like to see some works in Illustrator :). ( especially for Website design :)
stop motion is a cute little kid tht we like to watch and we take lots of pictures(nearly 100 crores :D ) to do a stop motion animation. stop motion was invented by aliens from the planet stoppotron which is exactly on the main road of sun.....which is the 10th planet in our solar system called pepsi way. accordint to ancient times, those aliens used to take funny pictures like mr beans and will smith. some people get confused about who is will smith and who is mr beans. but when u see mr beans....its gotto be mr bean only. even god likes to watch mr beans. well stop motion is cool and we shud follow this religion with our mind and soul. everybody shud take it serious even if a stop motion in humorous. stop motion is the future of chinese well built 3d animation cuz we r running short of microsoft computers day by day and 3d animation are made on windows extreme xp with sp3 and ms paints newest version called 'lets paint'. in the end we shud all see lots of stoppos.....like 3 per day to keep ourselves happy and healthy.
yo stoppo!
:D
Hm, many of my ideas have already been posted..
Then why not make something like a contest related to a certain topic/technique/tutorial or kind of a community project (graphic battle?)?
cheerio
I have walked this soiled ground for 20 years. I have traveled by air and automotive for a total of 3,094 hrs (not including stop overs) in my life time. I have 3 dogs: a German Shepherd, and two gay ones that like to hump each other. I had a a job in which i quit the same day i was hired (many people don't have the luxury of doing that). My point is: it would be nice to win iStopMotion 2 Express. (lol you said be creative)
I'd like to see some of your design tutorials done via stop motion technique. It would be then much easier to redo them on our own.
What I want to see on Abduzeedo is more tuts and interviews regarding fonts..
Although Abduzeedo seems to focus mainly on the visual expression of design, we can never forget that designing for advertising, marketing and websites include text - thus making it necessary to know the reason for using one font over another, and other basic information concerning text.
For those of you looking forward to trying out the stop-motion techniques, I strongly recommend you research techniques to add spoken dialogue to your stop-motion projects..
It really gives it quite an unexpected edge which will make most people pay extra attention to your stop-motion i the vast sea of ordinary stop-motion videos.
I would love to see tutorials on combining your design tutorials and actual print campaigns. I would also like to see more about the actual print process, and maybe some silk screening action? Oh! and definately more stuff on motion and broadcast design.
I would like to see some more tips to improve and encourage Hand drawn illustration. learning these programs are great but, I think a lot of artists need a good foundation to fall on, Maybe having an article on Andrew Loomis or Preson Blair would be helpful.
What I like to see in Abduzeedo is simple: a Video Podcast, with design tricks, inspirational show or maybe just recommended stuff!
Thanx!
I would like ot see more Pixelmator tutorials please! I'm really lousy at understanding how to make stuff look cool using layers and blend modes and filters and all of that and I don't have Photoshop so that would help me out A LOT!
I'd like to see more how to guides, from the very beginning of the design process of client requirements all the way through to the end where the final product is actually delivered. I find the process absolutely fascinating.
Im a huge fan of abduzeedo i keep up with the new posts everyday and i know you already give away sometimes prices, but i think you should do more design contests (like the icon contest) but maybe more interesting maybe a monthly contest, one for flash, one for graphic design, motion graphics, etc or even a section for contests that could be updated regular. Abduzeedo is growing faster and i think one of these days some famous trademarks would like to use the abduzeedo's contests for themselves.
I really like entering contests and i think all designers do so... i hope this is a nice idea :).
Anyway congratz for a fantastic site.
This is simply amazing, I would love to have a copy.
It would make full use of this in my Time Studio class in college.
Valeu Abduzeedo
Personally, I'd love to see some more of your thought processes. You always seem to be at the cutting edge, both with the designs you produce (and provide tutorials for) but also where you go for inspiration. If you post an article about getting inspiration about X, you can guarantee X is the next trendy thing. I'd love to know where you get the inspiration for your inspiration posts, and your thought processes when moving from an initial idea (or project), to getting inspiration and resources, through to creating a design. That would be great, although not particularly crazy!
Stop motion? In case you haven't, then you absolutely have to check out this Nokia website: http://www.get-out-and-play.com/index.php. They shot a human version of the Snake game, in stop motion. Also, don't miss out on the interactive game at the end of the video. That's stop motion - and smashing! - too.
As to future posts on Abduzeedo, I agree with those who have shown interest in motion graphics. I love it but I don't know much about it, and I guess I could use some insights (and maybe some tutorials).
On a general level, I just want to say what I love about Abduzeedo is how you guys post about everything that can be inspiring (from graphic design to photography, street art, video, architecture, webdesign, etc...). So keep up the openmindedness (is that a word? I'm Italian, so I'm not sure)... Maybe posts about more institutional contemporary art (I mean stuff like museum art) wouldn't hurt? Artists such as Maurizio Cattelan?
Okay I'll just stop rambling now. I'm not even doing this to get iStopMotion - I don't have a Mac!
Keep up the good work!
hi..
I really like your work, the tutorials, and the designs..
and for the future, it would be a good idea to start something with flash.. but not normal flash, because many flash stuff are done by people who don't focus on the design part, just the programming part.. It would be nice if try to start something that would focus on the design part in flash projects..
I could be an assistance to you.
:) -Boggie

Nice videos. That's really what I am fascinated with.
With respect to what I would like to see in future would be 3D Animation, Modeling, Texture, etc. because 3d is also a form of design. That would be all the more cool. Well, I don't know how relevant is the thought I have here...
i would like to see something new. No wait.. something nobody has see before
never done by anyone, something creative, something fun, something that people will remember for the rest of their lives and pass it on. Thats what i would like to see.
Nice, you can do some cool stuff with stopmotion :)
Reminds me of that Iron Man & Batman video on youtube a few months ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlLeCu63HCA ^^
Good luck everyone! ;)
I did a degree and animation and one of my favourite projects was a stop frame clay animation. It was extremely hard work without a tool like this and I would be eternally grateful if I could my hands on a copy of this. It would mean I could do stop frame projects in the comfort of my own home without having to spend money having to hire a studio to re-shoot undesirable scenes...
I agree with "Julie Br". more motion graphics, specially shape layers.
I would like to see more round up lists like smashing magazine, those are great.
I will like to see Abduzeedo.com be recognized for it's video tutorials from all the top designers and videographers. Offering unique tutorials that doesn't give us old repetitious tutorials found on the internet but giving us fresh content not seen before.
Other than that...I want to see Abduzeedo.com have a tutorial on the cure for cancer! I know it's possible from you guys!
Hi!
Just go on like you do now!
I mostly like your tutorials although I know it's a hell lot of work!
You're doing a really good job!
Greets from Germany,
Lars
Dear Abduzeedo,
I would like to see approaches to giving employers what they want in terms of selling yourself, your work, your art.
I love what everyone does here on Abduzeedo!
I have in the last 2 months become a huge fan, but like every freelancer advice from people with their feet in doors always helps.
One day dedicated to this maybe 4/3 times a year would be amazing.
Thank you,
Aldo
I would love to give you advice on how to improve your site, but in all honesty, it gives me the perfect content for what I enjoy. Thanks!
:)
I really love the photoshop tutorials but what I would like to see more is some about motion graphics ! I'm a big fan of After Effects and haven't got the time lately to work with it... Before I go back and work on personnal project with this software, I would like a bit of inspiration from you guys! I love everything you found on the web.
Never heard about IstopMotion before today. I'll try it one day :D thanks
I'd like to see some future design... Where do you think design is headed? and how you would design in that new direction?
I would also love to see some videos of your work flow.... I do not mean a tutorial, just a screen capture of you working on a project start to finish. Tutorials always show you all the right steps... it would be nice to see some of the mistakes or changes you make.
that way we might be able to learn how to be influenced rather than just follow the steps.
Great work on the site.

Learn it, pass it on.
Nice.
I think it would be great to have a best of "Stop Motion" series to continue where this article left off. You can go through best of tv, film, music, advertising etc...
I'd like to see more tutorials that deconstruct the design of a popular logo, like the one done on Apple's "In the air" posters. Keep up the great work!
Matt Jeppsen
www.FreshDV.com
I would like to see you guys create a series on design from logo design to web design, billboards, toilet paper whichever comes to your guys minds and make it like a weekly thing something that makes peoples like oh its Tuesday I need to go to Abduzeedo and check out that post.
Hi guys, i love to see the Roswell Incident explain, lol, abduzeedo must now that!!! hahaha! actually really great page, awesome tutorials, keep working, un saludo desde Colombia!!!
i like the site. i find myself visiting more and more often.
as far as the future goes... i think my only comment would be to keep it focused. while there's tons of cool design stuff out there (and isn't EVERYTHING design in one way or another?) i think you should stick with a handful of core topics.
That would be so much fun to explore! Great videos!
I love love LOVE the tutorials. Showing us the how to's is what I would like to see more of, especially the concept through to the design ... I always find that fascinating.
Me Me....Me Too
These vids are really nice done :)
4 the futur.. hmmm
I like things the way they are now
cuz I'm always chasing missed posts after a few days :p
I just can't keep up with all the info :D
But I'm not complainin tho, U doin a great job, all of u!
Hi! I would like to see a bit more of design theorics, I mean, contents like logo evolutions or brand design evolutions, design process, history or things like that.
Thanks! ;)
Very cool. Can't wait to play with it! already have so many ideas.
I would like to see articles based on the relationship between graphics and music such cd design, marketing, etc...
Stop motion techniques are really fun and amazing, can't wait to try them!
I would like to see more work from artists like Alberto Seveso. I would also really love to see a tutorial of how he achieved some of his effects. By the way, this site is my absolute must-read every day site.
I would love to see some jquery tutorials! I think a lot of your users are web-oriented and could use jquery to really spice things up!
