The Perfect Office #2

September 14, 2009

We've seen some great gadgets and equipment for designers. So many cool stuff, that we could actually assemble infinite perfect office spaces! Every week we'll assemble a perfect office, and we'd like you to help us. What equipment would the perfect office have?

Not only gadgets and equipment, but also furniture, sound system, gaming stuff (for lunch time!). A designer is totally allowed to dream with the perfect office, and that's what we're gonna do here! Comment telling us your suggestions, or even better, you may tell us via twitter (mine and fabio's), using #abdz_ofc so we can check it. Alright? I hope you guys enjoy this brief selection. Cheers! ;)

Philips Bluetooth mouse

Philips Bluetooth mouse

Philips couldn't decide whether you asked for a Bluetooth mouse, a USB mouse, or a touchpad, so it Frankensteined all three together. What can we say about aptly named "Bluetooth notebook mouse SPM9800/10?" Well, if you need a Bluetooth mouse, you can use it like a Bluetooth mouse. If the juice runs out, plug it in via USB and you have a USB mouse. (via Engadget)

Lego iPhone Dock

Lego iPhone Dock

This is a pretty simple construction that actually doesn't look as ridiculous as it sounds. The dock rotates, taking advantage of the iPhone and iPod Touch's accelerometer and making use of allowing movie-viewing landscape mode. Not bad! (via Gizmodo)

Sèvres Vase Clock

Sèvres Vase Clock

The Sèvres Vase Clock, a prototype by Georgios Maridakis, indicates the hour with an audible knock. Just place the vase of your choice on the brass and wood stand and the hammer will strike the vase each hour. (via Cool Hunting)

Nespresso CitiZ

Nespresso CitiZ

For serious coffee fans without a lot of space, Nespresso's new CitiZ packs all of their first-rate-espresso-making punch into a machine with a footprint that's nearly half the size of their other models. (via Cool Hunting)

Modular Tetris Shelves

Modular Tetris Shelves

The game of Tetris has inspired many designers throughout the years. These Modular Tetris shelves are another practical influence of the hugely successful puzzle game. From Brave Space design, the Tetrad Flat Shelving is a set of ten colored pieces in the popular shapes of the game. (via Crib Candy)

Altec Lansing Expressionist Ultra Speakers

NEC CRV43 Curved Widescreen Display

that screen!

Anonymous09/14/2009

Saw the screen a while back, whilst it looks great on the face of things, the 900pixel vertical resolution is far too low, 1200 pixels + would be far more useful.
