B is for Black Widow??

Seriously??

Davin11/05/2009

ummmm "I" is for "Ironman" maybe? Maybe "S" should be for "Spiderman"? maybe black panther too, but thats no biggie.

Bryan G. C.11/07/2009

I prefer Black Widow to Batman, it's always good to find new stuff. Superman, Spiderman, Batman, who doesn't know them?

Anonymous11/03/2009

OH now i see... Marvel only... got ya lol

Awesome work!

Tony G11/03/2009

Great list you got here Paulo. Here is another list of Super Heroes and Villains but in CG - http://designrfix.com/inspiration/cg-artwork-superheroes-villains

Anonymous11/03/2009

really S is for Shadow cat not Spiderman!!!

kwmnitram11/03/2009

Why the hell didn't you use iron man? Or Spiderman? Or batman???

KreativeCid11/03/2009

Yeah yeah that's great...but did you realize that every single one of those heroes and villains where white?
The creators should really broaden their ethnicity spectrum.

b-dub99611/03/2009

Well technically Mystique is blue. So there you go.

Anonymous11/03/2009

Well then create some. They created what they want. Don't bitch just do it.

Anonymous11/03/2009

wow. way to play the race card. considering most superheros were designed when there was still segregation it makes sense that they are all white...definitely know you're black

Anonymous11/03/2009

Black People can't have superpowers.

Anonymous11/05/2009

maybe they dont need them

Anonymous11/09/2009

Actually, they have a few. I cant remember all right now, but Spyke from X-men was black and NightCrawler is blue lol but yeah, they mostly have white =/

piro.gfx11/03/2009

Captain America rocks ! :D

Hybrid5911/03/2009

AMAZING~!!!
<3 <3

clyk11/03/2009

wow, what a heteronormative and sexist selection!

ZenMN11/04/2009

Hey, comic geeks need their porn too!

Anonymous11/09/2009

OMG i would love to see a porn of super heroes LOL

Luke Jones11/03/2009

Those pictures are amazing!!!

MrImagination11/03/2009

Okay now do one for DC comics as well... common common we're waiting...

Szymon Sobanski11/03/2009

Cool stuff BUT... i kinda dont understand selection of those heores/vilians

We have some importent mutants -xman here (Wollvie etc)
Some Avengers
Some Vilians goblin

but no super/spider/iron man
witch r kinda importent in marvel world ;]

M shouldn be for Mistique but for Magneto
Q should be for Quicksilver
X for Xman (or profesor X)

Gfx tho is cool - dark and misteroius but im more fan of Jim Lee style of comics

Ankles11/04/2009

these are the ones i like. not the important ones.

unanymus11/03/2009

lol
¿Jean Grey or Madelyne Pryor?
Jean Grey http://nicolasramospintado.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/jean-grey-phoenix... (diferents clothes ;))

lucifer,james11/03/2009

how cool is this, found all of my heroes

Henrikim11/03/2009

A ilustra do Kraven está fantástica. Assim como a do Thor. Trabalho de luz e sombra animal!

Parabéns pelo post cara.

Anonymous11/03/2009

I isnt for Iron MAN?? Come on...

pliniouhl11/03/2009

I always thought that "I" were for Iron Man and "S" were for Spiderman...

b-dub99611/03/2009

S - Is for Shadowcat? What the hell? How about, Spider-Man, Superman or Silver Surfer. Where on earth did that come from?

Szymon Sobanski11/03/2009

Same M for mistique? what about Magneto? H should go for hulk too :)

mdcarter711/03/2009

I was thinking the same thing. I was scrolling down to see S -is for Spiderman, but for reason they decided to put shadowcat instead.? But the art is still cool.

Ankles11/03/2009

i dont like spiderman. its simple as that.

Anonymous11/04/2009

sometimes you need to pay attention to the ones that don't have much attention. I mean i'd wanted V for venom, D for deadpool, but you can't have 'em all. Jean Grey rocks btw.

Logo Supermarket11/03/2009

very cool selection of characters there.

revolver0411/03/2009

Thor, Yellowjacket and Daredevil are my faves! X-23 is a bit flat though but amazing work overall!

Anonymous11/03/2009

This should be called the MARVEL superheroes alphabet....where's the DC and independent publisher love?

late_cow11/03/2009

nice work!
______

http://lateant.deviantart.com/

renduh11/03/2009

What a brilliant idea, and the art kicks arse too. I want a superhero alphabet poster!

GraphZ11/03/2009

i like the art...but the selection?

where is hulk, spiderman, batman, riddler, joker... iron man!

Jp042711/03/2009

I LIKE IT, BUT..... D IS FOR DEADPOOL!

Chris Ronk11/03/2009

those are some fantastic illustrations. How come Jane Gray is only wearing panties? ...not that I'm complaining.

Ratzzak11/03/2009

B-Batman,
S-Superman
J-Joker

Missed the best...

late of the pier11/03/2009

Where are thier faces? a few of them look good with dark faces but not every one. You need faces especially eyes for there to be any emotion. Your characters basically all look the same.

Also the whole naked sexually provocative superhero thing is pretty basic. You could try to de-construct the character, get to its core and rebuild it. Obvious example would be Watchmen, Batman has been de-constructed into two characters that work together; Rorschach and Night Owl. They both represent bi-polar aspects of Batman.

Then again its your work, you should do what you want.

Bubba11/03/2009

Great work! The guys all look super tough and the ladies all looks sexy but dangerous. I couldn't help but noticing that none of them have actual eyes showing, just shadows. It works well with this style, but makes me wonder: Do you have trouble drawing eyes?

polako11/03/2009

Excelent job...but c'mon...

B is for BATMAN

S is for Superman or Spider-Man

I is for Iron Man

G is for Green Lantern.

Nice job though!

J0HNNyK11/03/2009

Nice artwork, but No Spiderman, Iron Man, Hulk, Batman?

Anonymous11/03/2009

Emo superheroes. Awesome. Or can't you draw faces?

David_ONeW11/03/2009

cool!! but

S - Superman / Spiderman :D
B - Batman xD
I - Ironman
Z - Zeus

Clark11/03/2009

All I wanted to see was Superman.

Laytonium11/03/2009

B for Batman, come on now

Anonymous11/03/2009

have you really not realized how they are all marvel characters!!!!!??? batman and superman don't belong in this collection. Though, I would have preferred deadpool over daredevil, he's cool too.

Anonymous11/03/2009

I think all characters are marvel... I could be wrong.. at least 80% of them are I know

LasseMarius11/03/2009

H is for HULK

I is for IRONMAN

N is for NIGHTCRAWLER

Anyways, I think its kind of cool that he used alot of "unknown" superheroes/villians instead of sticking to only mainstream ones.

Ankles11/03/2009

this was a series of the characters i liked, not those that are popular. so sorry if not your favourites are on here. these are the ones i like.

and batman and superman are dc, so they wouldnt be here anyways. this is a strictly marvel list.

and sorry that i didnt make this the village people. im not gonna put different ethnicities just to do so. i picked the ones i like.

ims11/03/2009

thx for sharing them :D

Anonymous11/03/2009

Uh, they're only Marvel characters, so whoever suggested S for Superman and B for Batman needs to read some comics.

maureen11/03/2009

this is amazing!

Gerardeno011/03/2009

where is spider-man?

Solomon11/03/2009

this is way too cool!!!!!!

tigerace11/04/2009

what about spidey¿?

there´s no pete parker in here.... c´mon!!!!!!!!!

Ummm11/04/2009

Ummm M is for MARVEL. maybe when he does a DC list.

Skyscraper11/04/2009

Great job, but...V is for Vendetta!!!!

Skyscraper11/04/2009

Love it, but... V is for Vendetta!!!

Anonymous11/04/2009

Very cool artworks. Notice that a huge majority of the characters have shadowed eyes? Purposeful, or does the artist have a problem with drawing eyes?

Ankles11/04/2009

purposeful

Romulus11/04/2009

Nice work. Thanks for sharing.
Swap in Superman and Black Bolt and it would reek of awesomeness.

PaPaPaPaully11/04/2009

Should put Rorschach from Watchmen on!

S. Preston11/04/2009

Good of you to jump back and forth between DC and Marvel.

Anonymous11/04/2009

I thought they were going to be posed in alphabet shapes and was disappointed. But they are really fine illustrations.

Skyscraper11/04/2009

Great, but V is for Vendetta!

Rick11/04/2009

Unbelievable. B IS for Batman. S IS for Superman.

S is shadowcat? Geeesh. Lost all credibility for knowing superheroes on this one I'm afraid.

LeeKilleen11/04/2009

Its a cool list! weird that they dont have eyes though.....

webmatze11/04/2009

They all have no eyes. Very scary.

marco11/04/2009

nice artwork..some guys should really backread the comments..even though this is a marvel list they keep on asking about supes and batman..great list but i do admit i don't know some of them..nice work using wolverine's x-force uni..

btw, what's with the eyes? i wanna know too..

Bosniansoldier11/04/2009

Somebody needs to learn how to draw eyes :) just kiddin' great work!

RocketRacoon11/04/2009

That was super awesome. Good for you for not doing the obvious ones for some, it shows you have a broader understanding of the Marvel Universe. Also, for a character you never see, your picture of Zzzax I would actually buy given the chance. Well done!

Sebastiao Figueira11/05/2009

Tenho que reconhecer que as ilustrações são ótimas. O contraste e o sobreamento são as principais características do trabalho do autor. Parabéns!

Scottypeps11/06/2009

Dude,
D is for Deadpool!

Anonymous11/06/2009

This guy, Ankles, has done a really good job and clearly taken too much time on this for people to be bitching that it's just Marvel characters, which was probably intentional anyway. Besides, love it, especially the Green Goblin and Shadowcat.

Anonymous11/06/2009

You guys are fucking losers. All of you.

haze11/06/2009

b is for..... not blackwidow!
s is for.... Not whoever the hell shadow cat is!!

Anonymous11/07/2009

DC = Better

Jay11/07/2009

Thank you for NOT doing "S" is for Spider-man! That's way cliche and he gets more than his share of recognition. Kitty's an excellent choice! Lot's of great surprises on this list and they're done beautiful to suit each character.

Nice work!!

Ali Suarez11/08/2009

Great illustrations!!!

Anonymous11/09/2009

If at first you can draw eyes...shade shade again

Ted11/09/2009

Fantastic work, great list of Marvel villains and heroes. I especially love the pure black background showcasing the figures. Quite a few of which are in poses that are incredibly difficult to draw. Kudos!

SK11/11/2009

Fantastic list and great illustrations. Love the Thor one most of all.

relaxing11/12/2009

Amazing images.

Fishtale11/14/2009

Ignore those whiny douchebags complaining about your choice of characters. Do they think their whining is more impressive than your art?

Outstanding work!

Anonymous11/15/2009

Wow, the comments on here are really upsetting. Great illustrations, man, everyone should keep their bitching to themselves.

Also, Shadowcat is one of my favorites, I'm really happy you drew her. :)

Anonymous11/16/2009

I think this is great, and to all of you who keep whining about S: Yes Spiderman is cool, we know, get over it. Shadow Cat is Friggin Awesome and you should just be happy that this guy decided to share his awesome drawing skills and creativity with us!

This is a really great set of heroes and villains, btw. I LOVE that you put Shadow Cat and Union Jack in here.

Anonymous11/24/2009

omg, V is for Venom!!!

Anonymous11/28/2009

This is some good work. But how come nobody noticed THERE ARE NO FACES!!!!!!!!!!
So my advice is, you should learn to draw faces before attempting something like this again.

MrLich12/08/2009

I'm amused by all these folks telling you what you should have done with YOUR list of heroes.

I love the theme, I love the execution, I love the individual compositions, and I love the style. Job _very_ well done indeed!

XnK12/10/2009

May be this is a bad joke, but isn't A for Abduzeedo?

haha

well, excellent job, maybe you can find the DC or other studios to make this list really awesome...

XnK12/10/2009

I was wrong, I mean the Marvel list, my bad...
