Available (for now) from your iPhone 7/7Plus and 6S/6SPlus, you’ll be welcomed with an iPhone case that is the true reflection of the core and durability of Otterbox and along with all those swappable modules (accessories) that will just enhanced your experience with the case. I just came back from a trip from Iceland and I took all this gear with me in the wilderness where I got to really experience and make a proper review instead of my own boring city backyard. Let’s start! STARDECK - Ultimate Deck of Cards STARDECK is a custom deck of poker-sized playing cards, the design and illustrations were done by Lunar Saloon, and printed by The United States Playing Card Company. The project was launched on Kickstarter and is waiting for our support. The people behind Lunar Saloon are my good friend Alex Griendling and his wife Meg Griendling. As we could expect the illustrations are beyond stylish and in addition to that there is a beautiful Kickstarter-exclusive wooden etching where they worked with Neutral Ground to produce. Keap the fire burning: Keap Candles Launches New Website and 'Scent-to-Home' Experience I happen to have an unhealthy obsession with candles that smell amazing so when we received a delivery from Keap Candles out of Brooklyn, NY my day was made. Upon opening the beautifully packaged discovery set of four tea light candles my olfactory senses were in heaven. Keap Candles smell amazing, are aesthetically awesome and you can also feel good about burning them because you're doing good too. Uber Visual Identity Redesign Uber refreshed their branding and visual identity in the beginning of this year and despite the controversy it was a in my opinion a solid work. I know some of the designers behind it and I have profound admiration for the work that they do, they are experts at their craft and probably some of the best in this field. The project that they shared on Bechance definitely illustrates that quite well. It's a text book project and if you want to create visual style guide, save the link because it's hard getting any better than that. LYNK & CO - Share Mode UI/UX What I particularly like about LYNK & CO philosophy, approach and business model are the fact that is more than just a car. There’s a definitive mindset behind this brand to be wide open as an open source to creation and collaboration. Some of us might think that CO from LYNK & CO would mean company but it actually means Co:operation, Co:mmunity and Co:nnection. We gotta that play of words! LYNK & CO - Introducing Model 01 As you may have seen from our social channels, we have been covering the launch of the new car company called: LYNK & CO (via our Instagram) in Berlin, Germany. It has been an exciting ride as that is our first international unveiling for Abduzeedo. As expected, we are now releasing the first official images for what it would be called the LYNK & CO Model 01.

It’s quite lovely to follow along, definitely give it a watch. For today’s feature, Bram is sharing his process on making new digital art, hope you will enjoy! CHI Development Center- UI/UX CHI is a UI/UX project for a Ukraine, development center located in Kharkiv. The project was shared by Sergey Filonenko and we can highlight a few reasons that it deserved the feature. First the nice grid system and typography. Second and most important for me, the abundant white space. They say that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication and, in my opinion, Sergey achieved that quite well. Of course there is a lot of questions on how a design like that would work in different screen sizes and mediums, however for the inspiration sake, I will keep that project on my list of simple, yet elegant UI/UX solutions Lettering Works by Joe Sutton We would like to feature the work of Joe Sutton who is a freelance graphic designer based in London, UK. He focus his work into typography, lettering and branding design. What I particularly like about Joe’s work is that he takes the time to share his process and well-written details about what can be improved from his sketches. Vinery 9 Branding Vinery 9 is a branding and visual identity project for an e-commerce website all about wine and it was designed by a fellow Brazilian Designer, Gilnei Silva. There are many ways to translate a message to a logo and then a branding system. Gilnei explored the refraction effect created when you try to read something through a glass of wine. The result is quite beautiful. The visual representation of the distortion with wavy lines is clever and elegant. I won't tell much, check it out after the break and happy Friday.

Of course there's always space for beautiful artwork like the Skull Candy project shared by Lorett Foth. It was a project done in Photoshop, 3ds Max and Zbrush. The quality of the composition and details make us believe that the scene was real, especially the lighting. Trópico Branding Branding goes beyond the logo, we mentioned that several times. The biggest challenge for designers is how to create a system that is scalable and efficient across different mediums. Carlos Bauer and Nicholas Pierre shared a great example on their Behance page. It's the visual identity for Tropico, a great example of beautiful word mark and collaterals. The Landmarks IllustrationsWe are taking a close look at the work from Al Power and his illustrative series about various landmarks in Europe. Going through these, you can quickly recognize the Eiffel Tower, London Clock Tower and so on. Beautiful Houses: Hadar's HouseToday we will show you a small and exquisite home on coast of Stokkøya, Norway, a project by Asante Architecture & Design. The house is located right next to the water overlooking the neighboring islands and the Norwegian Sea. The place was designed for a chef and is pure inspiration. Beautiful material combination and a simple layout deliver a great space. Huge windows, lots of natural light and breathtaking views give this place an extra charm. Take a look! Wallpaper of the Week: Icelandic MountainFor this week’s wallpaper, we are sharing this image by me on my recent trip to Iceland. I can talk for hours how much I loved exploring the wilderness of this country and how stunning are the different icelandic landscapes. This wallpaper is only available on mobile for the primary reason that the shot was took vertically. There will be more coming and in Desktop versions as well, by the meantime please enjoy and follow me on Instagram.

It's like a penrose triangle. The typeface is the only thing I am not quite fan of, it looks like FF Dax which seems to be one of the favorite fonts for visual identities in Brazil. That said, it doesn't compromise the strong work done by Andrea and the other designers involved. Packaging Design: Vodka-dot I am a fan of packaging design, especially the design of bottles of wine and vodka. The work done for Absolut has been part of my design education, I remember their books only about the different variations of bottle label design and ads. When I saw the Voka-dota work shared by Den Dodson it really caught my attention. I love new ways of trying things and boy Den found one. The simple design with red bottle with white dots give this friendly almost childish look, quite inspiring. Figma UI Tool with Real-Time Collaboration for Designers It's amazing to see that today there are plenty of interface design tools for designers. In the past we were limited to Adobe, my favorite tool used to be Fireworks. Thanks to them, when they killed it a lot of people saw the opportunity to build not only a tool to replace it but a much better tool. Figma is a great example. The idea is to be the Google Docs for designers. It's a vector tool that runs in the browser and allows for incredible collaboration. I've been playing with it at home and I am quite impressed about how powerful it is. Beautiful Houses: Avalon Today we will show you the inspiring Avalon house in New South Wales, Australia a project by ArchiBlox. This is a great prefab structure that was constructed in 6 weeks. And the modular design minimizes impact in the environment. The place has a few green features and is cozy and charming. In love with the kitchen and bathroom. Take a look!

Boontheshop BrandingSimple and elegant branding work is always inspiring, at least for me. The Boontheshop project by NR2154NYC is an amazing example. Boontheshop is Seoul’s leading luxury concept store and of course the branding work reflects that. It's pretty much black and white and minimalistic. I know this type of project doesn't work for a broader audience but boy it looks cool, at least just to see the attention to details, from the packaging to the semi-serif typeface, everything seems very well-crafted. Exploring New York City at 400mmAs I am progressing my hobby as a photography enthusiast (beginner), I really take a great pleasure at looking these photographs. Every single frame tells a story and you can't deny admitting the colours are simply breathtaking. With the quality of work that Anton provides with his background as a designer, photographer and Co-Founder at Anton and Irene. It's just inspiring and definitely a designer to keep an eye on. Pixel Art by FulifuliWho doesn't love Pixel Art? I feel that growing up playing video-games like Atari, NES, Genesis, SNES really influence my taste and trigger this passion for pixelated illustrations. I remember spending many afternoons playing Double Dragon or Streets of Rage with my friends. Those games were simple but boy they were a lot of fun. So every time I see someone that is good at Pixel Art I gotta feature here on ABDZ and for my surprise, it looks like we have never featured the work of Lucile Patron, aka Fulifuli. Dafont Branding and UI Design ConceptDaFont was for sure the very first resource I used to download free fonts, back in 2003. Since then the website and the branding remaings exactly the same. For my surprise I found on Behance this concept project by Wendy Borg, a designer from Netherlands, she made a beautiful job with both parts, logo and website interface. Heinz Bloody MaryHeinz Bloody Mary is a personal project, I believe shared by Constantin Bolimond. The reasons I don't know for sure if it's personal is because the project is simply beautiful done. The quality of the renders gave me the impression it was the real product. In the end I saw that was done in Cinema 4D and VRay. Anyways, this 3D packaging project is a great example that today there's no excuses for designers to not execute and showcase their work well. The tools are available, it's easy to learn online. It's all about the designer.

UI Design by Adrián Somoza Adrián Somoza is a senior visual designer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is currently working at R/GA. His portfolio is filled with great concept projects. They have a great mix of editorial design with typography overlapping imagery and other effects very common in printed material. Editorial Design for Tecom Parks I especially like the cover he designed as you can see below. It adds bold colors over the start black and white layout. It feels simple but very elegant. I don't know if that was what he was trying to do, if so, he definitely accomplished it Aerial Iceland By the meantime, let's follow Martinet Sarah's journey to Iceland with her breathtaking pictures taking from a plane with open windows. We can't help to be amazed by the landscape especially at this perspective that totally reminds me of a painting. ASOS UI Design Concept It's been a few days that I'm not posting any new inspiration, and today I'm featuring a concept UI project from Stanislav Krishtal for the famous wear branding ASOS. It's a web project with a lot of graphic design inspiration, a magazine style that we're seeing so much designer using, but just a few making it right! Typography Work for Goodtype The Book Volume One Featuring works by artists like Raul Alejandro, Maia Then, Rob Draper, and Scott Biersack and interviews with Roxy Prima, Tony DiSpigna, Joseph Alessio, and more! For this post we feature one of the projects featured on the book, the typography work of Mario De Meyer.
