From the psychedelic abstract works of James Merril, to the energetic scenes captured by our featured artist Aaron Campbell, to the sublime photographs of Linus Leandersson, you’re in for a visual feast accompanied by the ambient soundscapes of our audio director, Keith Alban, and many other Evoke musicians. Bring the colors, bring the noise, bring on the new age!

A monumental release. One full year in the making. AGE doesn’t represent merely another step down the same path; on the contrary it is an exhibit expressively characterizing the paradigm shift within the collective. All the pent up energy, the motive force behind the recent changes in our group were channeled simultaneously into one hundred of the most drop dead gorgeous works we’ve ever produced — Ted Yavuzkurt

Amazing Images from Evoke's Spectrum

Evoke has launched a new exhibition called Spectrum. As usual, there are some really inspiring artworks from artists from all over the globe. The Spectrum exhibition is also a tribute to color, so it is not necessary to say anything else, just check the images :) Here we will feature a few previews but we highly recommend that you visit their site for a hi-res image.

This tribute to color is truly sensational and we are honored to share it with you! Spectrum is a smaller pack than usual, but for what it lacks in size, Spectrum delivers a knockout in quality. Our artists went head first into their craft to ensure the highest calibre exhibition for your viewing pleasure. Simultaneously, the Evoke audio department, now headed by our very own Keith Alban aka brainst0rm, has also delivered several knockout tracks to accompany your visual experience.

Mixtape! Outstanding Evoke Exhibition

Evoke has released their twentieth exibition, the Mixtape! The theme was music and the images are simply fantastic. We highly recommend that you check it out.

It is my great and distinct pleasure to announce Evoke’s momentous twentieth release, Mixtape! Arguably one of the most challenging themes chosen by our artists, Mixtape presented many trials to Evokers early on; as is always the case, everyone came through, producing another mind blowing exhibition of seventy solo works, collaborations, and exclusive music tracks.

A music centered release, Mixtape required Evokers to approach their traditional processes of producing art from a different angle. Many chose to use this theme very literally, basing works off of songs or music equipment, while others chose to remix their own works. The audio section is stellar in Mixtape as Keith Alban (brainst0rm) really shined in his Evoke debut creating many professional remixes of popular songs for this release!

Big props to James Merill, aka dshPls, our featured artist for this release! James has been with Evoke from the very beginning, progressing through the ranks and still cranking out some of the most stylish and innovative works the group has seen! Be sure to check out an exclusive interview with him.

Evoke's Prime Exhibition

Evoke is a well-known design collective, that often delivers us great exhibitions of art, photography, motion and graphic design. Their current exhibition is called "Prime", and has got numerous great pieces.

Epoch, the new art group?

As the saying goes, two heads are better than one. But with 50+ heads, you can only imagine what can be achieved, especially in the creative realms of design. Websites like DepthCore and Evoke produce some of the greatest works of digital art out there, and it's a credit to the designers' hard work and determination.

With this in mind, I decided myself to apply for one, but subsequently was rejected. After deep thought, I figured, "Why not just create your own art group?", and so this idea has lead me here, to ask you, readers and designers of Abduzeedo, to help out, if you wish, with my new project, which is currently name Epoch.

At the moment, I'm creating a forum for people to apply, chat and contribute to the upcoming site at http://cmwiki.co.nr/forums (the name will be changed very soon). I hope to see you there.

My name is Starchild, aka Luke Davis, and I'm a student from England. I passed A-Levels in Graphic Design, Mathematics and Further Mathematics and will be studying Computer Science at Nottingham Trent University in October.

I was never an artistic prodigy at an early age, but I still doodled and drew things like any normal child. As I got into high school, however, I began to enjoy art more and more, and managed to get an A at GCSE, probably my greatest achievement to date. It was very hard work, but it was worth it. Initially, I wanted to do Graphic Design at university, but I didn't want to leave my other talent behind, maths, so I decided to make a compromise: do computer science at uni and still continue my graphic design work, but on a casual, freelance basis. With any luck, I'll get spotted.

Inspiration: Evoke

When you work on a file and you just dont know how to go on Evoke is a great place to find inspiration. Lots of young designers produce breathtaking creations you have to see.

Founded by Justin Bristow, Sean Graham and Ted Yavuzkurt in June of 2005, Evoke™ began as a boutique art community, home to a small group of young, exciting artists looking to establish themselves among the best in the digital art community.

Following the release of Evoke's third exhibit, the future of the group began to look grim. However, with the arrival of some fresh talent and a rejuvenated administrative panel, the exhibits to follow proved a breakthrough for the group that hasn't looked back since.
