French designer/illustrator Chloe Fleury, now based in San Francisco, California, creates wonderful things with paper that instantly caught my attention.
It is been a while since the last time we published a Pixelmator tutorial and now with Pixelmator 2.0 out there and App of the Year we decided to show more love to this really cool tool. We will be creating weekly Pixelmators tutorial here on Abduzeedo alongside with our Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks tutorials.
So in this tutorial we will show you how to create the Captain America Shield using Pixelmator only. The process is quite simple and won't take you more than 30 minutes.
The wallpaper of this week is the 2011 version of the Abduzeedo logo. The idea behind of this design is to bring back more minimalism to the Abduzeedo design. It's also a comemorative wallpaper for the new year.
Once again we from the Abduzeedo team wish you an inspiring and creative 2011.

The book suggestion of the week is one of my favorites, it's called Typology: Type Design From Victorian Era to the Digital Age and it covers a lot of art history always linking with types and typography. It's a must read for those starting out their careers or even willing to dust off their typology and typography skills.
