The West End Show' is an innovative gallery exhibition by Radim Malinic, a leading London graphic designer and illustrator. Malinic explores the magical and bustling part of the capital in a series of elaborately illustrated poster designs, bringing together classic old century design with the dazzling neon future of the 22nd century.

'I wanted to do something that was different, conceptual and intriguing - it’s a place that’s been very inspiring for me. It’s the heritage - the narrow streets, the buildings, the glitz and glamour. It’s got a heartbeat’, explains Malinic. He adds, ‘Once you look behind the history it’s got an enormous amount of legacy. People now take the area for its face value, it's a place to go shopping and getting annoyed by huge crowds at Leicester Square' explains Malinic.

Through a combination of bold typography, illustration and poetry, each piece tells the delicate story of classic design over-shadowed by the limitless offerings of this exciting city.
Malinic interprets his love for London by exploring the true characters of the real life musical that is London's West End. 'The West End Show' offers an inspiring touch of nostalgia for the frenetic capital resident.

The show, cleverly titled West End show, presents ten posters, each dedicated to one West End area, such as Soho, Covent Garden and Fitzrovia. The ornate, bold designs capture the vibrancy of the area, with a healthy smattering of the gaudy neon and glittering lights that festoon its streets.

The show is now open to public at Nancy Victor Gallery, London until March 2. Online store with limited edition prints and merchandise opens on March 3

Years ago, when I was starting out with illustration and stuff, most experienced artists told me that I should not worry about find a aesthetic and theme, that would simply come with time. Well, when it comes to street art a lot of artist mostly can get random about themes and change their aesthetic often. So I must say Phlegm really knows how to stick with what he do, creating a impressive universe not only on the wall, but also on his comics.

Awesome Typography Works by Andre Beato

I came across André's work because of the Daily Inspiration and was really stunned about his typographic work. I really dig the concept and the choice of his colour palettes in his works.

Colors and Great Architecture, this is Central St. Giles Court

The Central St. Giles Court is a building complex located in Camden, London. The main idea of the project is to break the concept of a simple office building and transform it into a multi usage complex with space to multiple activities. The project is a partnership among Renzo Piano and Fletcher Priest.

The concept of bringing activities to this area was really nice, and to do that they combined restaurants, stores, offices and even residential spaces in one location. The buildings have colorful facades and form a beautiful contrast with London's grey landscape. Another interesting thing about this project was that the buildings were elevated in 6m to invite people to walk through it, to participate. Each facet is unique, differing in height, orientation, color, and relationship to natural light. Glass, steel and ceramic are the primary elements of the skin. In each fact the ceramic is used in different shade and colors that respond to the surrounding building, thus helping to integrate the scheme in the immediate urban environment.

Pixelmator has been growing in a fast pace since 2007, not only in terms of popularity but their team has increased considerably too. They also have moved to a new office and thanks to Saulius, we will share with you a little bit of the workspace where the Pixelmator guys come up with their crazy ideas. I got to know his work from Behance, I believe it was a suggestion for the Daily Inspiration and I was totally blown away by the level of details he put on his work, especially in the sketching phase, it's really impressive.

The year 2012 signals the conclusion of one of the most ancient predictions ever made. The Mayan's, an ancient and advanced civilisation of South America and experts in astronomy, predicted the end of the great cycle of ages in 2012.

Random Got Beautiful

Initially, this illustration was due to be a collaboration with another artist with the 'Beautiful' line theirs to interpret. Unfortunately they were unable to do so, thus I moved to finish the piece myself. The result though, was that I rushed the last line and I was entirely unhappy with the outcome. I have however, completely re-drawn the 3'rd line and shall comp it to the original image before the final version is ready to be screenprinted. You can see some of the development and detailing below and a preview of the new 3rd line is at the bottom.

Video Inspiration: London (harder, better, faster, stronger)

A time laps video is always a good way to remember your holidays. David Hubert didn't had any camcorder so he took pictures instead. In fact a lot of pictures.

I really wanted to make a video of London while I was there earlier this year but I didn't had any camcorder, so I took pictures instead. In fact I took more then 3000 pictures and put them all together in less then 2 minutes.

I mixed it with the track ''Harder, better, faster, stronger'' from Daft Punk live record ''Alive 2007''
