Beautiful Lamps by Martinelli Luce

Lamps are a great piece of furniture and I really love them! I believe that by having a beautiful lamp in a room you can actually give it a unique look. From retro, modern or clean designs, there are tons of models for you to choose from to give your place an unique touch. Browsing around checking some lamps (yes, I like to do that), I found some beautifully designed ones from Martinelli Luce and decided to share them here with you. These are really beautiful pieces that for sure can give your place a nice touch! Check it out.

Martinelli Luce represents more than fifty years of history devoted to manufacturing of lamps and of lighting systems. The lighting apparata by Martinelli Luce are characterized by an essential design as well as by a project novelty; these elements have been the basis of the corporate philosophy for three generations. Martinelli Luce was established in 1950 thanks to Elio Martinelli’s insight and will: he wanted to manufacture on his own the lighting apparata to be used in the commercial concerns he was responsible for the design of. The company was established in his father’s small shop and specialized in selling electrical materials for installers. Thanks to his spirit of initiative and of innovation, Elio Martinelli starts to create a wide production of lamps for interiors, with a greater and greater attention for their use at home. Elio Martinelli is inspired by nature and by geometry and creates functional lighting systems that are manufactured with materials used depending on their real characteristics.

Elio Martinelli and his team created some really nice lamps and we will show here a brief selection of them, so remember to visit their site to check out the details from each one of the lamps you will see here and also to see their whole collection, it is definitely worth it. As for me, I'm in love with the serpente one and the coque one. :)

I just love to look around for design furniture... I really like to check out the great products that some designers come up with. The style of furniture that I like to see is that classy-minimalist-stylish stuff that just get our attention and make us want to change almost every piece inside of our place. I was browsing around looking exactly for that kind of thing when I found this great site called nestliving.com and got amazed by their design - both web design and product design. The website is clean, minimalist and beautiful. As for the products, they are stunning.

I have to say that I loved almost everything they sell at the site, but I have managed to control myself and put together this selection for you. From beds to coffee makers, toys and bicycles, these products are perfectly designed. They are so beautiful that you don't even want to use them... you just want to admire them.

Branca

Branca is a bookshelf designed to be made in plywood but it can also be made in plastics. It was born with the idea of natural shape abstraction, as its primary concept. Its shape comes from the simplification of a tree branch so it still reminds that natural world.

This shelve is thought to allow the user to put it in many different possitions. By this way Branca can compose a usefull tree in the user´s wall.

The Camus Floor Lamp

“You cannot create experience you must undergo it”

Quoting from the prolific writer Albert Camus, the lamp is a manifestation of the dualisms of life. A beacon for the human experience the lamp is constructed to be a humble exterior shell teaming with chaotic self reflection. As light penetrates through the voids of the text, it becomes a symbol of the juxtaposition of our own internal concepts of existence and the ones we attempt to maintain on the surface. Continuing the exploration of typography as a means of decoration and structure (Dharma Lounge) the Camus floor lamp creates situations where the participant is embraced by the possibilities of creating a relationship with the object through denotative and connotative ideals.
