Tianjin Elementary School, in China
- Oct 06, 2010
The simple shapes and the composition of blocks unseated mark the architecture of County Elementary School, by the chineses Vector Architects. A unique architectural design, abusing the contrast of colors and the use of light and imposing lines.
The school has 48 classrooms, cafeteria, gymnasium, sports area, administration area and has a beautiful outdoor area for sports. The mixture of metal with the red block, and large tears of glass made a perfect combination, making me think about how easy it to make architecture, just because what simple and beautiful that was the end result. In the mockups and drafts we also note the evolution of design and get a better sense of the whole building.
Our goal is to establish a unique place within the school that encourages interaction between the students and teachers through their daily learning and teaching life. - Vector Architects
A series of green technologies are proposed in this project, such as geothermal system, storm water management, green roof, permeable landscape, passive ventilation, maximized natural daylight, recycled material and etc. - Vector Architects
