December is here, another year is ending and nothing better than creating a Christmas desktop wallpaper using Photoshop to celebrate that right? Well, maybe not.
Anyways I created this image using paths, the brush engine and layer styles in Photoshop. Besides that, I used some amazing Christmas Icons I found online at http://www.iconarchive.com/category/christmas-icons.html
The step-by-step tutorial will be posted soon at psdtuts.com, but below you can see and download the wallpaper in a 1440x900 version and the iPhone version.
The wallpaper of this week is an artowrk created by Neil Hanvey, a designer, illustrator and web developer from Hereford, United Kingdom. For this wallpaper Neil shows us a design to support the victims from the earthquake in Haiti, the design is called "Hope for Haiti".
For more information we highly recommend that you visit Neil's Behance profile at http://www.behance.net/neilakoga or his Deviant Profile at http://neilakoga.deviantart.com/
The book of this week is a book I just got from a friend. It was in my wish list for a long time. The book is called Visual Complexity: Mapping Patterns of Information and as the reviews says, it's about our ability to generate information now far exceeds our capacity to understand it.
