I have already created some tutorials about watercolor effects; however, I also want to create a workflow that is extremely simple but that produces a beautiful result. Therefore, I invented this tutorial, which uses only basic watercolor brushes, a photo, and a layer mask.
This tutorial is part of a series of tutorials I have been writing for Pixelmator and posting over at http://www.pixelmator.com/learn/
The wallpaper of this week is an image created by Zane Prater and Saad Moosajee, a self taught freelance Illustrator and Art Director living in Denver, Colorado. Saad has worked for clients such as Dell, Tiger Beer, HTC, 361 Degrees, and Computer Arts Magazine. Saad is currently the creative head at the Slashthree Collective. Zane Prater is a 18 year old llustrator currently living in San Francisco. He attends the San Francisco Art Institute, and recently created numerous illustrations for 303 skateboards.
The book suggestion of this week is for those out that love posters, I believe everyone. The book is calledWar Posters: Weapons of Mass Communication and as the name says it's all about war posters. It is divided by wars and you can get tons of inspiration from it.
