It has been a good time since I did my last photoshop tutorial, so for this week I decided to take a look at some old works I did when I were more into photoshop and just found this awesome one. However, when I opened the orinal PSD. file I found many things I wouldn't do nowadays, so I decided to try to recreate using my reent methods. This a experience I would recommend to anyone: get an old design and try to redo it.
The wallpaper of this week is really cool design by Perttu Murto, a 24-year-old graphic designer, art director and illustrator from Finland. Pettu has been involved in graphics for almost 8 years and was also selected as the Young Advertisement Designer of the Year for 2007 in Northern Finland. His work has also been featured in several prestigious design websites and magazines.

The book suggestion of this week is a very inspiring one for those in love with vintage typography, it's called Scripts: Elegant Lettering from Design's Golden Age. It's definitely a book for when you need some extra motivation and inspiration.
About the book
Elegant, quirky, fluid, brutish, ostentatious— a visual resource of cursives and other typefaces that resemble handwriting.
