Last week we published our 10th Wallpaper of the Week. It was an awesome typography/design from Ginger Monkey Design called Compassion. What I really liked about that design was how they mixed some "frilly bits" with the typeface to create an outstanding piece of work. I decided to create a tutorial showing you how to do that as well.
The wallpaper of this week is an image created by Vlad Axinte, a self-taught designer from Romania. The image is called "Coordinates of Chaos" and it was inspired by street art and grafitti.
I tried to take the street art into a digital environment using my Wacom Bamboo Pen and Adobe Photoshop CS5

The book suggestion of this week is a very inspiring one for those in love with vintage typography, it's called Scripts: Elegant Lettering from Design's Golden Age. It's definitely a book for when you need some extra motivation and inspiration.
About the book
Elegant, quirky, fluid, brutish, ostentatious— a visual resource of cursives and other typefaces that resemble handwriting.
