In this case study/icon tutorial Edward Sanchez will share with us the creative process behind one of his personal projects, a really cool icon called the Real Apple Logo. The image mixes real photography with the Apple logo in Photoshop to create this super cool icon.
I'm not quire sure why I never thought of doing this before. And I certainly never saw it done by anyone.
Step 1
I started by getting a vector version of the logo so I could make a shape layer on photoshop.
The wallpaper of this week is an image created by Zane Prater and Saad Moosajee, a self taught freelance Illustrator and Art Director living in Denver, Colorado. Saad has worked for clients such as Dell, Tiger Beer, HTC, 361 Degrees, and Computer Arts Magazine. Saad is currently the creative head at the Slashthree Collective. Zane Prater is a 18 year old llustrator currently living in San Francisco. He attends the San Francisco Art Institute, and recently created numerous illustrations for 303 skateboards.
The book suggestion of this week is Illusive 2: Contemporary Illustration and Its Context. This book is really inspiring, there were some amazing illustrations and you can spend ours checking them out. Another amazing thing about this book is that you can always go back and there will always be something new.
