Web Picks is a new series here on Abduzeedo. The idea of the articles is to choose a subject, and present photography, artwork, designs, illustrations and tutorials we find on the topic; and put them together. When designing we tend to forget to look at mediums other than the one we are currently working in. We hope this series will illustrate the many dimensions a single subject can have, and provide cross-format insight for each subject.
The wallpaper of this week is an image created by David Mascha, a designer and digital artist from Vienna, Austria. David work as freelancer primarily in the fields of art, illustration, fashin, interior design and advertising for clients such as IBM, Hennessy, K2 Snowboards and The New York Times.

The book suggestion of this week is a very inspiring one for those in love with vintage typography, it's called Scripts: Elegant Lettering from Design's Golden Age. It's definitely a book for when you need some extra motivation and inspiration.
About the book
Elegant, quirky, fluid, brutish, ostentatious— a visual resource of cursives and other typefaces that resemble handwriting.
