Some weeks ago, while watching the Montreal Meets I remember that Fábio and James talked about watching Top Gun. Some of you may not know, but Top Gun is a 80's classic, I was even born when it came in to the cinemas, but I watched later and I must say it is really badass. So, after watching my buddies speech, I just found myself watching the movie again and that gave me a nice idea for a tutorial.
The wallpaper of this week is a image I created for my presentation for the Front-end Design Conference, based on some references from the 80's and the DVNO video-clip, by Justice, it was the last slide of my presentation. You can see the tutorial on how I created this image here.

The book suggestion of this week is a very inspiring one for those in love with vintage typography, it's called Scripts: Elegant Lettering from Design's Golden Age. It's definitely a book for when you need some extra motivation and inspiration.
About the book
Elegant, quirky, fluid, brutish, ostentatious— a visual resource of cursives and other typefaces that resemble handwriting.
