A few weeks ago while walking on the streets of NYC, I saw this big billboard of a movie called Burlesque (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1126591/). What really caught my attention was the effect applied in the text, sort of those old signage that casinos used to have. I loved that effect and thought it would be a good exercise trying to do that in Photoshop.
The wallpaper of this week is a design created by Theo Aartsma called Eve Of Happiness. Theo is a freelancer graphic designer and illustrator, he is also one of the mighty designers behind DEPTHCORE and EVOKE.

The book of this week is not a design book per se but it's an incredible book. I have just finished it and I got so much valuable information that can be applied in my day to day job as designer. The book is called Why We Buy: The Science of Shopping--Updated and Revised for the Internet, the Global Consumer, and Beyond by Paco Underhill.
