Christmas is already past and we are going to the end of another year. For this holidays season I created a simple card in which I designed a Christmas tree using the word XMAS, the idea was make some typographic experiment with that. After sketching and playing with Illustrator I ended up in Photoshop to finish the composition that was used for the card.
So in this case study/tutorial I will show you my creative process on that, from the very beginning all the way until the end.
The wallpaper of this week is a beautiful design created by Tim & Bram Vanhaeren. They are both graphic designers based in Kapellen, Belgium and they run a design studio called Into 1.
They also run Wallpaperart.org, a blog constantly in search for the most incredible wallpaper art for your desktop. Wallpaperart aims to bring the art closer to the user by involving the artists through interviews, tutorials, contests and a lot more.
The book suggestion of this week is about typography and it's a great source of inspiration. The book is called New Vintage Type: Classic Fonts for the Digital Age and we have used it for reference in many tutorials here on Abduzeedo.
