Video Inspiration: Doll Face

June 13, 2008 from aloa's blog

A few weeks ago a friend came to me and said:"Hey Aloa you're into this design-thing. You have to see this short-movie". When i saw it it blew my mind. I dont want to hide this from you so please watch this. It is worth sitting 4 minutes watching a screen ;-)

A machine with a doll face mimics images on television screen in search of a satisfactory visage. Doll Face presents a visual account of desires misplaced and identities fractured by our technological extension into the future.

Sonudos Case Study by Jennifer Cirpici
The image of this Study Case I'm about to explain is made for the client Soundos. She's a comedian in The Netherlands. I worked on it at work for 2 days, around 13 hours. It was a fun project and the client was very happy with it when it was done. And when the client is happy, I can consider it done. First version Here is the first version. Nothing special about it yet; basically I've rendered her and searched for a nice background to put her in. It was important that the whole image was capable for her site (www.soundos.nl) and that the perspective was right.
