When it comes to cool animated movies, one of the most beautiful and interesting techniques is stop motion. Giving life to real dolls through out a whole movie is a though task, and Henry Selick's Coraline is all about it.
This a trailer for the movie, which is totally awesome and beatifully done. It's already up and running in theaters everywhere. You guys will really enjoy it! Cheers! ;)

Hello, everyone! I'm Paulo Gabriel, designer from Porto Alegre, Brazil, born in 1984. I have worked as a webdesigner since 2006, but websites and blogs have been a hobby for me since 1999. In this tutorial, I will show you how to create text with water effects. To do this, we will use some stock photos with masks and image adjustments. I will also show you how to create bevels using Pixelmator.
Step 1
Open Pixelmator and create a new document. I used 1440×900 pixels. Also, keep the background white.
The wallpaper of this week is a design I created inspired by the Heroes series. I did the image because I wanted to try to create the eclipse effect of the opening titles of that show using only Photoshop. Of course in the end I had to add some little textures to make it looks a bit older, with that vintage feel.
Check out the tutorial: Very Easy Heroes Eclipse in Photoshop.
The book suggestion of this week is all about illustration and it's one of the books we check out when looking for inspiration. The book is called The Sourcebook of Contemporary Illustration. We highly recommend that you check it out.
