April 24, 2011 from abduzeedo's blog

The wallpaper of this week is an image I created for a poster and also a tutorials for the upcoming Abduzeedo book. The book will be available soon and we will keep you posted, so stay tuned.

The idea behind this image was create a vintage style poster playing with the word ADBZ. It was sort of inspired by Mondrian from my earlier sketches.

What's up guys, this tutorial is a kind of special for me, since I saw for the first time this site I was amazed with the colors, the shapes and the real life that it appears to be. I'm talking about The Beatles Rockband's website, it's simply wonderful. And thinking on it I decided to redesign it in Fireworks, but now our own site, that we'll call the Abduzeetles Rockband!

The wallpaper of this week is a very cool image created by Leif Incognito, a very young graphic artist from Germany also known as Iseedeadpixels or K-OZ. Despite the young age, Leif has some really nice works mixing a bit of retro style and geometric shapes. I'm Leif, 17 years old, from Germany. In the Internet you maybe know me as iseedeadpixels or K-OZ. I still visit school but sometimes i do smaller Jobs for Companys or Photographers. The book suggestion of the week is one of my favorites, it's called Typology: Type Design From Victorian Era to the Digital Age and it covers a lot of art history always linking with types and typography. It's a must read for those starting out their careers or even willing to dust off their typology and typography skills. About the book
