I love to see more and more beautiful apps for tablets, iPads and others that feature beautiful editorial design. It seems that we are getting to a point that beautiful content for our mobile devices will be a norm. Similar to magazines but with a big difference, the content is much more interactive and rich in terms of multimedia. I think the future is bright for all of us readers, content creators and designers. Verso is a great example of editorial design for digital magazines.

The wallpaper of this week is a photograph I took last week on my way home. It's been little over a month since I moved from San Francisco to Oakland and I cannot seem to get tired of the beautiful sunsets during my evening commute.
With the new year I have started collecting references for the new Abduzeedo design. This time it will be heavily focused on mobile with the mobile version driving the design decisions for the rest of the devices despite the fact that most traffic comes from desktop. I believe it's important to limit the scope to really understand how mobile first works. The desktop version won't be left behind in the process but carefully adapted from the mobile version.

The wallpaper of this week is an imaged created inspired by Google Material Design visual design language. It's a simple composition simulating sheets of paper that create the Abduzeedo symbol. We will post a little tutorial showing how we achieved that. Bold, graphic, and intentional imagery helps to engage the user. Imagery is more than decoration. It’s a powerful tool to help you communicate and differentiate your product.
