I really love when people make minimalistic posters, but I confess that is way more interesting when they make some 8-bit versions, why? Well, because anyone who was borned between the 80's and 90's probably had a Sega Mega Drive or Nintendo Super Nes have this nostalgia feeling everytime we see this kind pixel formation.
History Retype (Grand type recorder)is a project self-initiated by Omar Aqil, a designer and illustrator from Lahore, Pakistan. The idea behind this piece wast to illustrate the evolution of typography, in this case with a typewriter montage done in 3D. The colors and style is spot on, giving the composition a beautiful retro feeling.
I love to do typography experiments so this time I chose history’s H (Alphabet).
I can't seem to get enough of the new Mad Max movie. I am a huge fan of the Mad Max series and even after the overdose of action I still have in my mind the explosions and incredible race through the desert. For me though, the second movie is the best and the poster that Coke Navarro put together is a the pinnacle homage to that classic. The title is GASOLINE for Bottleneck Gallery and as you can see after the break the style and details are simply amazing.
