The Amazing Art of Jason Chan

July 22, 2009 from PauloGabriel's blog

There are some illustrators that really know how to portrait what's in their mind. War, happiness, anger, lover are a few of the feelings that we often see in beautiful images that many times show us other worlds.

Jason Chan is one of those artists. His illustrations remind me a lot of the Never Ending Story, among other movies, because of the fantasy feel, that's exactly what I find great about these. So, for more of Jason's work, you may check his portfolio out. I hope you enjoy these! Cheers. ;)

Super Cool Retro Poster in 10 Steps in Photoshop
A couple of weeks ago Amanda (@amlight) published a few articles showing stylish posters and albums with a very retro style, very simple but at the same time really cool. The articles really inspired me so I decided to create an Abduzeedo poster for myself just to play with Illustrator and Photoshop. So in this tutorial I will show you how to create a very cool poster in just 10 steps. We will use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, but you may use other tools. I'm working on the Pixelmator version as well.

Wallpaper of the Week #70 - Dizzy Pattern
The wallpaper of this week I designed inspired by a skateboard deck design from the Element. It's a vector pattern that creates a really nice optical illusion. I, also, prepared 2 versions a dark one for those like me who like dark wallpapers and the original version that is more bright, but with a nice retro feel. Check out the tutorial: Rad Pattern in Illustrator that Makes you Dizzy .
