The Volkswagen Beetle, also known as the Volkswagen Type 1, was an economy car produced by the German auto maker Volkswagen (VW) from 1938 until 2003. Perhaps because of its classic German beauty or maybe because it was designed to be “The People’s car”, it’s one of the most popular machines ever built, an icon of design. Apparently people can’t have enough of taking shots of or with it, so we collected quite a few to share with you. Here are some ..enjoy!
Today I'm going to post some cool Western Spaghetti movie posters in the blog. For those who are not familiar with the genre, Western Spaghetti it's a kind of western made in late 70's by italian directors, in italian locations. The most memorable characteristic of Werstern Spaghetti is the long and dramatic scenes during the duels, creating an unique atmosphere that the american western movies never were able to get, even closer.
Domestic violence can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, race, sexuality, wealth or geography, yet the problem is often overlooked, excused, or denied. Female is the worst victim in the disaster. Studies show that between one quarter and one half of all women in the world have been abused by intimate partners. When we have successfully got our steady lives, what will be the next target? To be more comfortable. That is to get a larger apartment and to buy a better automobile. So it is understandable that why the competition among auto distributors becomes fiercer and fiercer. In order to promote the brand culture and unique advantages, auto distributors conduct all kinds of campaigns as price cut, auto-expo, and of course advertising.
As chief organs for physically manipulating the environment, hands are vital for all of us. Because of hands, we can smoothly deal with both gross motor skills and fine motor skills. We can properly have our work, study and our life. Besides, hands are necessary for advertisers too. They use hands to express their idea and to talk with viewers. This tutorial will walk you through the simple steps used to turn a regular photograph into an interesting digital painting illustration, using Photoshop's Filter Gallery and the Smudge Tool. Depending on the photograph you choose, it shouldn't take you more than a couple of hours to complete.
Big shout out to Trey Ratcliff for clearing things up for me with HDR’s--he has a great tutorial and I will always be a fan of his amazing work--to Nicalai, for taking this wonderful picture and, last but not least, to Abduzeedo for making this public.
We start from this original picture, that my good friend Nicalai took on a night in Milano. First, we want to add some cool night tint to this. So, we lower the Temperature a bit, let’s say -32 and play with the other sliders as you see fit.
As this is one of my first posts on Abduzeedo I decided to write a quite unconventional one. I'm a regular reader of Abduzeedo since about a half year - I'll never regret - but articles about printed mediums are pretty rare on Abduzeedo. So, in this post I'll show you some newspaper designs that are great in my opinion. Also, there's a great video from the TED Talks by Jacek Utko on how design can save newspapers.
If you know other newspapers with great design don't hesitate in sharing with us. Leave a comment linking some photos so we can take a look at them.
This is a personal project that I've been planning for quite some time, and will be part of my demo-reel. Being aware of the amount of work ahead of me, the hours spent, and considering this will last for only a few seconds on the video, I decided to go ahead and model with all there is to it, starting on concepts, then on a simple but functional Basemesh, refining it on ZBrush, Multipass rendering and post-production in Photoshop.
