We would like to feature the work from Amr Elshamy on Abduzeedo, it’s a shame we’ve never featured him before. He is a self-taught artist based in Egypt and has worked with brands like Adobe, Microsoft, Chevrolet USA and more. Amr has many talent and going from filmmaking to digital art, I guess this is one of the best perks of being a freelance. You can choose to do whatever you feel like or what is your goal you are leaning towards.

We’ve been encountering a several designers having their take in movie posters. I mean who doesn’t love movies? We are still waiting in line for movies and eating popcorn! We are still embracing the movie experience at its best. With the amount of content we can find online about our favourite movies, with that much content it’s always great what you can stir up with a redesign and a concept. Especially when you just watched the movie and you’re feeling inspired to create.
We are fans of the work of Romain Trystram on Abduzeedo, we always loved his Tron-stylesque illustrations where he uses a vibrant colour palette that seems always be happening at night time. What I do thought about his latest NYC Illustration series is that the colour palette has completely reversed from night to day and the lighting is just stunning.
We featured Retoka before here on ABDZ but they seem to keep shipping inspiring work. I am a fan of the way they manipulate images and the GEISHA project is simply beautiful. This particular project got me excited to sit down and open Photoshop to try to recreate it. Maybe that might be my weekend activity. Now back to the project. The color palette and the diagonal lines definitely work quite well. It also brings me back some good memories of 5 years ago when we used to post more about graphic design and digital art.
