Epic Illustrations by Joe Jusko

May 18, 2010 from PauloGabriel's blog

One of best things about DeviantART is that we get to see a great range of illustrations works... from beginners to true masters of the craft. One of these masters is Joe Jusko, and american artist who makes some epic pieces.

He's done some great work with Vampirella, X-Men and Lara Croft, but his barbarian pieces are really awesome! For more of his works, you may visit his portfolio. I hope you all enjoy these! Cheers. ;)

Easy iOS Style Wallpaper in Photoshop
Easy iOS Style Wallpaper in Photoshop
I have received quite a few emails asking me how to create that sort of linen texture effect we see in the iOS on iPads and iPhones. I like that effect but had never stopped to think about how I could do that in Photoshop, so last week I decided to give it a try. For my surprise it was much easier than I thought. So in this tutorial I will show you how to create the linen texture effect in Photoshop and also the metal/glass effect we see in the Apple logo in the iOS.

Book Suggestion: Visual Complexity - Mapping Patterns of Information
The book of this week is a book I just got from a friend. It was in my wish list for a long time. The book is called Visual Complexity: Mapping Patterns of Information and as the reviews says, it's about our ability to generate information now far exceeds our capacity to understand it.
