Inspiration: WALL-E Artworks

November 18, 2010 from GisMullr's blog

From time to time I really like to post something 'cute', something that gives us that smooth smile while browsing some images. For some reason Yesterday I remembered the beautiful WALL-E movie and decided to search for a couple of artworks from it. I first used the images (two actually) for our Daily Inspiration series, but since I found several beautiful artworks I decided to gather this list. I think it's great when a movie (or TV series) connects with us, get our attention, get our appreciation and makes us want to declare this 'love' with art... whatever is photography, painting, illustration, etc.

Here you will see some artworks inspired by the super curious, innocent and always persistent Wall-E. From drawings to photography and paintings, you will see some inspiring artworks. And in case you haven't seen Wall-E, you really should check it out, it's pure inspiration. :)

Shining Neon Text Effect in Photoshop
Since we released Abduzeedo's new design, we've received quite a few emails asking for a tutorial showing how to reproduce the our logo effect. Actually since the first time we used that effect, on the Sparkling Hot Girl in Photoshop tutorial, a lot of people have asked us how to do that effect. So in this very short tutorial we will show you how to do that in Photoshop. Step 1 Create a new document, use the size you want, it doesn't matter. Then fill the background with a very dark gray, #111111.
