Pult: Merging Branding with Packaging Design in Modern Beer Culture

Dive into the innovative branding and visual identity of Pult, a beer bar with a design that encapsulates modern beer culture. Designed by Studio Najbrt.

Pult's visual identity emerges as a fresh perspective in the world of branding. Designed in 2022 by Studio Najbrt for the client, Ambiente, it boasts of a contemporary, crisp aesthetic. The key people behind this vibrant design include Art director Aleš Najbrt and Designer Marek Pistora. They collaborated seamlessly with Michal Nanoru for naming and texts, and Olgoj Chorchoj for design inputs.

Located a stone's throw from Republic Square, Pult stands as a beer bar where aficionados can relish perfectly treated lagers from multiple breweries. The essence of the brand name, "Pult," which translates to "counter" in Czech, aligns with the very experience the bar promises.

The branding is a visual treat, where the black and yellow logo carries various interpretations. Combined with the information board, it harmonizes with the innovative strides in today's beer culture. The logo and logotype bring together square shapes integrated with circle cutouts, a design philosophy carried into the typology of the logo itself. The chosen font, Neue Haas Grotesk, complements this approach, lending the brand a distinct identity.

Furthermore, the packaging design is a minimalist delight. Predominantly in solid yellow or black, it displays brand details in contrasting inverted colors. This stark juxtaposition between circular and square shapes introduces a captivating pattern. It's this pattern, dexterously leveraged by the designer, that consistently threads through the entirety of Pult's visual identity materials. Whether it's web interfaces, interiors, posters, or even restaurant paraphernalia, this branding essence is palpable.

In conclusion, Pult's branding and visual identity are a testament to the power of thoughtful design. It's an amalgamation of tradition and innovation, a beacon for modern beer culture, and a shining example of what's possible when designers, like those at Studio Najbrt, push boundaries.
