Video of the Week #22

Some time ago we've had a few posts about stop motion. We've featured a list of stop motion inspiration and also we gaveaway some software. Not to mention those awesome light paiting pictures and videos we've posted. But what about mashing those two techniques? That's what a girl called Kaki King made for hir "Pull Me Out Alive" music video. It's really awesome to see both techniques at the same time, it's indeed an outstanding result. Check it out: I wonder if any of you guys have done something similar, mixing two or more techniques like that. Did anyone? Anyways, thanks Andrea Pelizzardi for the link.

Last week i saw Michael Gondry's "Science of Sleep" again and respected on details. It's an unbelievable film-technique and i'd like to show you some cool stuff. "Stop-Motion is a film-technique that makes a physically manipulatted object appear to move on its own. The object is moved by extremely smallamounts while every frame is being photographed." Stop Motion is pretty simple actually and you can make great movies with that. There were lots of movies in the past who used Stop Motion. And there still using it this time. Video of the Week #5

Lego is one of the coolest toys ever. I remember spending days and days playing with it, and probably, so do you. And you probably would built other stuff than the one your set was meant to be. Welcome to the club. This video shows Paul and Greg, some dudes with a lot of time in their hands (but hey, everybody wish they had more free time), building the Millenium Falcon Lego set. But that's not just it. They made a stop motion video of it, and man, this is freaking awesome. And if you've got a video suggestion to make, just drop a comment! Lego Millenium Falcon Stop Motion.
