Supermoon 2013 Commemoration

Inspired by last night's supermoon, the one and only we'll witness in 2013, I felt compelled to share a gallery of some amazing supermoon shots taken from around the globe. A supermoon, technical term perigee, is a full moon that is the closest and largest full moon of the year and therefore a very special occurrence. Last night's supermoon was our well rounded friend's closest encounter with Earth in 2013 and we will not experience such majesty until August 10, 2014.
