Terminator Collection

December 16, 2008 from PauloGabriel's blog

May 22nd is still a little far away, but the buzz for the latest installment of the Terminator franchise got huge with a full trailer released just a few days ago. We just couldn't let it pass unnoticed, so this is another post of our collection series!

I don't have much to say about Terminator. It's been there for a long time, most of us have seen the last 3 movies, there are lovers, haters, and all that, but I'm a Terminator fan myself, and never miss a The Sarah Connor Chronicles episode, even if TSCC is a little bit cheesy. Anyways, I hope you enjoy these as much as I do! Cheers! ;)

The tutorial was well received and a lot of people wanted to know how to create that effect. So in this tutorial or quick tip because it's more about layer styles and we will use the base of a previous tutorial, I will show you how to create a super simple light effect using only layer styles, blend modes and the blur filter.

Book Suggestion: Why We Buy - The Science of Shopping
The book of this week is not a design book per se but it's an incredible book. I have just finished it and I got so much valuable information that can be applied in my day to day job as designer. The book is called Why We Buy: The Science of Shopping--Updated and Revised for the Internet, the Global Consumer, and Beyond by Paco Underhill.
