1. High Quality Portrait Retouching pt1

January 12, 2009

This is the first tutorial in a series on photographic retouching. In this tutorial I'll try to demonstrate the level of editing that goes into removing any discrepancies in the skin.

I have divided the whole process into parts. Beginning with skin tones and blemishes.

- Tidying skin blemishes & Removal of unwanted hair

- Colour Correction

Great Job! I finally get the difference between the Patch Tool and the Clone Stamp Tool. Thanks!

I wonder what to do with a photo that has sun damage and the entire subject has color shifted? (Everything appears yellow-green?)

Phil01/14/2009

Ye, somewhat! I'm from Kildare, studying Industrial Design in Carlow. Might try to get into something similar after I'm finished here. Would be nice to get back to Dublin :D!

Cool. I read Kildare as Korea, it's 5:44 am, try and understand. Cool, good luck with your course. Hi. Real nice tutorial for beginers.
I love discovering new tools!

I started retouching one random picture here, and I couldn't find a satisfactory way to milden the dark areas below the eyes [sorry, i don't know the proper word in english to designate that].
I thank if you can say something about it in the continuation of this tut.

Thanks anyway.
