10 Years of The Matrix
April 01, 2009
10 years ago a true revolution began. With the release of the first installment of The Matrix franchise, the movies industry was not the same anymore. To celebrate it, we've got some awesome pictures and clips to show you. Bring it on!
Bullet time and slow motion kung fu fight scenes drew a new line on how movies were made back then. I remember with awe how stunned I was the first time I watch The Matrix in a movie theater... and even after having watched it so many time, it still facinates me. The Wachowski brothers are THE MEN. I really hope there's a 10th Anniversary commemorative DVD on its way... anyways, here my selection of pictures, to celebrate the 10 Years of The Matrix.
And of course, here's some of the best scenes from the trilogy. Gotta love it! :)

What a coincidence! I have been rewatching the Trilogy and The Animatrix since yesterday. Great movie! :)
It's so amazing how dated the first movie is already looking, and how fantastic the Matrix Reloaded poster series is. Great article!

Ah, homage to my all time favorite trilogy.
Ironically, I'm doing a kinetic typography project on the Architect's speech as I write this comment.
the best all we know :D
happy new best effect
I loved these movies. It's unfortunate that there are so many people who bashed the sequels though.
Man! all that scenes makes me wanna watch the trilogy again!
great post!
Great post but now i feel old! 10 years!
as good of a movie as it was, and the new technology effects it used were great, etc, it ushered in a new era of overly CGI'd crappy blockbusters too! some revolution...
scene with stop the bullets - i love
Who made the first five pictures? They're so good looking!
The matrix had me from the first second of watching the original. Fantastic series. :-D
I saw "The Matrix" 10 times at the movie theatre. I have never before been so smitten with a film; I doubt I will ever see another movie that hypnotizes like "The Matrix"!
The first movie was so brilliant and surprising for me, but unfortunately the sequences were to much prententious.
Fantastic movies !
Here is a good wallpaper with Matrix: http://www.badongo.com/pic/756107?size=original
