As a skateboarder i believe all boards out there should be skated on no matter how good the design is.

But a good design just wants me to skate the board even more, because sometimes skating on it can make it look even better

As a skateboarder too i ' m fan of andy mueller works ( for lakai, girl and chocolate ). Have a look at (board) design of these brands.

So skate is really an Art : )

I knew when i started reading this article that someone would say "I think that all boards should be skated on."

What is it about a flat piece of wood with wheels that brings out truly awesome creativity? There isn't one here that I don't think is cool. This kind of post is what keeps me coming back for inspiration.

Those are bad ass!! I would hang them on my wall for sure after I skated them though.

I love skateboard art, as well as snowboard and surfboard art. Those are the fields I'd love to get into with design. This is a nice roundup of boards.

I really enjoyed this post. I used to do a lot of skateboarding, and always enjoy checking out new designs.

I have a custom board I'm pretty proud of.

Unlike some of these, this is actually hand airbrushed (most of those have had vinyl/digital printing done.

Also, this was my first attempt at airbrushing too :)
Used Masking Film to mask the board off, has about 13 layers or so of paint. Here is a video that shows my process and the end result.

Those are great designs. Riding a skateboard for over 20 years I have seen some good designs. These probably take the cake though.
