20 Amazing 3d Illustrated Portraits

July 14, 2009

The work of PoisonVectors is just a new level of portraits, mixing it up with a lot of abstract 3d and great final touch and colors it's amazing. This is definitely a new style that came up from the trendy of making full body portraits with abstract effects around it, the difference is that PoisonVectors took it to another level.

aren't we done with this yet?

granted these are slightly better than the ones that are seemingly posted on this site nearly every single day... but can we just get over the whole "full body shot, paint a couple swirls, and call it art" thing? do something ORIGINAL people.

These are absolutely insane

Nice work but are they just pieces of art or commissioned work for particular jobs. If they are work for jobs it would be nice to know what the brief/purpose of the illustrations were.

Oh and can something be done about the spammer plasticz as it appears on every comments with just a link to a website

I think the title of this post should be "Sluts with Swirls" instead.

oh i see. this comment section is only for people who like to kiss your ass.

what's the matter can't take the criticism?

ardhian.satrya07/16/2009

*Yawn* the style is already too over-used. I'm getting bored with this. I can see this style everywhere now, even the some of the models are the same since they came from stock photos.

@flappypeguin : Yes, you can get the models from istockphoto.com if you want . I saw some models are being used in several different artwork with same treatment (swirls, lights, etc).

With a lot tutorials out there, people started to create the same style (without even make it better or modify it). Then the net is overflooded with it.

I'm not saying it's not nice. It's nice and cool, but it's so yesteryear. I've been subscribing this website for more than a year. I'm not expecting to see the same things after a year.

Please get over with this style and move to the other. Keep the inspirations up-to-date and original. Cheers!

I agree, I happen to really like this style of illustration, but just like any trend (milk , anyone?), it's getting a little old

then again, I don't think this style has reached its zenith yet, and I'm interested in seeing how it develops!
