Out of all the disasters that happened this year, these are the ones we can laugh about, everybody makes mistakes but this photoshop disasters are made by people who make a lot of dollars and are not really suppose to make these kinds of mistakes, and that's why it's so fun to see them. Check them out yourself and double check you next image for any disasters.

I work at a newspaper and can see how some of these could happen with as little as none design people understand and expect things to be rushed through. They don't care and they are the ones with the money, so what can you do?

You could always 'photoshop' to fix these mistakes...
If MS Word has spellcheck, then Photoshop should have imagecheck!
I had so much fun runing this ... laughing out loud ... really! not just a usual "lol" :)
Here in australia there is a new billboard that shows a party on the beach. But if you look carefully the characters on the background are just like 5 people duplicated to make the party look full... i will try to get a pic. Also from the same client there is a girl on the foreground with sunglasses reflecting the Sunset... the detail is that the sun is setting behind her...

This is a great post. Had me laughing actually! Know if things like the DVD covers and whatnot ever get fixed eventually or do they print tons to begin with before packaging and all that? I suppose there's always different circumstances, but do you know how a big project like that works?

It always amazes me that people that get the job to create Photoshopped images for big time companies and manage to do such horrible jobs! What am I doing wrong to not have their job! hahah!
It is funny how they put an extra finger or leg or hand in.. some are probably just to see if people will notice and others are meant to do that.. to make it more than just having fun.. old advertisements would do it to brainwash minds to be sexual.. lol
The photoshop disaster of the Shawn Johnson's picture is bogus. The picture was taken by Joe McNally last year and the printed picture has no such error, as you can see here:

In the first photo, the finger off the trigger isn't necessarily a mistake. Cops do that so they won't accidentally shoot anything that pops in their way and surprises them.

This stuff is great! But allot of this retouching is dictated by the art directors. You cant give a pass on the floating hands no way. But some of the over airbrushing is what they want.
As retouchers we know it looks like ass..but the customer is always right..LOL..How about some better photography!!!
